Tour the Below Deck Yachts: See Inside the Honor, Ohana and Eros

Below Deck, now in it’s third season has had three different super yachts. The yachts typically rents for thousands of dollars a week. The 2015 Below Deck yacht, the Eros charters for about $200,000 a week in the summer months. The Below Deck charter guests, however, get a deal. They can charter the Eros for about $35,000 a week.

The Honor, was in Season One of Below Deck. It didn’t return for a second season, because it was also sold.

Cast for Season 2 of Below Deck

The Ohana was the second yacht on Below Deck. The yacht did not return for a second season because it was sold. That yacht is now called the Rhino.

The yacht looks very different from its appearance on Below Deck. The interior is now more modern and chic. But for old time’s sake, below you can see what the Honor looked like when it was on Below Deck, Season 1. According to SuperYacht, the Ohana is now named the Rhino is it’s available for charter guests to rent in the New England area.

The Eros, a 161-foot luxury super yacht  replaced the Ohana for episodes that are airing in 2015. Like the other ships, the Eros as a pseudonym for the yacht’s real name. The Eros’ real name is Mustang Sally. It’s even more impressive than the other ships. Take a look inside.

How the Below Deck Franchise Has Changed Over the Years

The Below Deck franchise first took to the seas in 2013. Onboard Superyacht Honor, camera crews followed the lives of the hired cast members for Season 1. Once this season aired, it was clear that certain aspects worked, while others needed tweaking. With each season, changes have thus been made, giving viewers a deeper glimpse into what takes place on luxury yachts.

Mark Cronin and Courtland Cox, Below Deck’s Executive Producers, sat down with Bravo’s The Daily Dish . Here, they discussed a few changes they’ve had to make within the series. In addition to their candor, we have also spotted ways that this series has evolved with time. From production aspects to the breaking of fourth walls, these are the main ways that the Below Deck franchise has changed over the years.

More Cameras Have Been Added

At the start of Season 1, cameras were mounted around the yacht. These cameras were rolling for 24 hours a day, capturing significant amounts of footage. However, the production crews failed to place cameras within the laundry room, and in Season 3, this decision proved to be a huge mistake.

To explain, Eddie Lucas and Raquel “Rocky” Dakota had a secret affair , with their romps taking place behind the laundry room’s closed doors. Footage of any kind was therefore unable to be captured. Thankfully, this oversight was corrected by Season 4, and cameras now live in all of the laundry rooms on Below Deck.

As Captain Lee Rosbach then stated, “this is why we can’t have nice things.”

The Hours Spent Capturing Footage Has Increased

In their interview, Mark and Courtland touched on the changes that have been made regarding each day’s filming length. “We very quickly realized the yachties that are working on these boats, they’re not going to bed at 10 o’clock; they’re going to bed at 2 o’clock in the morning. When our cameras pulled out of there at 10 p.m., there was still four hours’ worth of magic and mayhem and all that was happening,” Courtland explained.

Due to these missed opportunities, the producers acted swiftly, enacting changes that would further shape this series. “We very quickly realized we have to actually bring in more crews and film longer. Going from an 11-hour filming day to now what is essentially a 19 or 20-hour filming day, that’s one of the bigger changes. Production-wise, we’re capturing 125-percent more footage than we did in the first three seasons,” Courtland explained.

Besides fully capturing the yachties’ late-night shifts, these lengthened filming hours also helped showcase the crew’s wild nights out. During these excursions, crew members typically visit local restaurants, then return to the yacht’s hot tub, fully liquored-up. Here, anything from hook-ups to fights have occurred , sometimes simultaneously. Due to this change of longer filming hours, these antics are now guaranteed to be filmed, making this series all the more entertaining.

Diversity Is on the Table

On Season 1 , diversity was lacking. Furthermore, varying genders were not seen filling the positions onboard. This was noted when the Captain, Chef, First Officer, Second Engineer, and the deckhands were all male. In similar fashion, the interior team was purely female.

Fast forward to current times and you’ll see that things have greatly improved in terms of gender bias, as the franchise now has a female in the wheelhouse thanks to Captain Sandy Yawn . In addition, Malia White has appeared as a female Bosun, with multiple female deckhands hired on as well. Several men can also now be found working in the interior, with Fraser Olender even recently taking on the title of Chief Stew.

As for diversity, improvements are ongoing. Soon, Tumi Mhlongo will be the first South African Chief Stew, appearing on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 8. Tumi’s effortless reads and quips were hysterical during her time on Below Deck Down Under Season 1. We can’t wait to watch Tumi shine in this position of leadership, and we hope to see further diverse hirings moving forward as Below Deck continues to evolve.

Fourth Walls Are Breaking

Speaking of Below Deck Down Under, Season 2 is currently airing. Here, two separate sexual assault attempts transpired. Taking place during the same evening, viewers watched as production intervened, removing the offending cast members from the bunks of others.

Halfway through Below Deck Season 6, viewers also watched as a member of the production team quickly broke the fourth wall to save a life. This occurred when Ashton Pienaar stepped on a line and was yanked into the water. Ashton was seconds away from his foot being severed, bleeding out to death. He was truly fortunate that a nearby cameraman intervened.

In addition to these serious events, the breaking of the fourth wall has been a fun change for this series. It was especially rewarding in Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4. Here, a member of production is overheard heard asking Gary King about his relationship status with Mads Herrera . When Gary gets things incorrect, production can be heard challenging Gary on-air , right before, a snarky reel was show, proving that Gary was wrong.

Sometimes, fourth walls need to be broken. We love this change seen in the Below Deck franchise.

New Spin-Offs Continue To Emerge

One final change seen in the Below Deck franchise are the multiple spin-offs that have taken place. Below Deck Mediterranean came first, followed by Below Deck Sailing Yacht, Below Deck Down Under, and finally, Below Deck Adventure. Though to be clear, Below Deck Adventure has not yet been picked up for a second season.

Meet the Superyachts of Below Deck

The US TV show Below Deck has become a global hit as it follows the crews of superyachts as they navigate the highs and lows of life in this ultra-glamourous world. There are tears and tantrums, eccentric yacht charter guests to contend with, dazzling destinations and a whole lot of drama. Viewers have been gripped with the shows – season 9 Below Deck has recently aired – for the unique insight into what has, until now, been a tantalizingly elusive industry. Just what goes on behind the gilded doors of those glittering superyachts? Well, now we know. 

The yachts themselves have risen to as much fame as the crews and captains, and left many a-viewer daydreaming of a few days lounging on the teak decks of MY Seanna or Valor. Here we take a look at the superyachts that have shot to reality TV stardom, discover their real names and how much it costs to charter a Below Deck yacht. 

The very first yacht to appear on Below Deck Season 1 was this 50 metre Benetti, with the now famous Captain Lee Rosbach at the helm. Cruising around Sint Marten in the Caribbean, one of the top destinations for superyacht charters, Honor – whose real name is actually Barents - wowed viewers with her luxury and elegance. The six staterooms, sun deck, drinks bar and the must-have hot tub, played host to fun and shenanigans as the Below Deck yacht crew hosted their guests during four-night charters. Barents was designed by Stefano Natucci, and has recently undergone a full refit adding a sleek interior design to the arsenal of water toys, gym, beach club and indoor and outdoor cinemas. MY Barents charters for around €155,000/week. 

While 46.94m superyacht Ohana appeared in Season 2 Below Deck under her own name, she was renamed Star Diamond since her sale. Built by Admiral Marine Works in 1998, Star Diamond had a major refit in 2018 and oozes classic superyacht elegance with soft, neutral interior design by Donald Starkey Designs, as well as plenty of deck space. Viewers will remember the deck crew battling with the large inflatable slide which offers guests a rip-roaring entry into the waters of Star Diamond’s summer cruising grounds of the Caribbean (we saw her cruising around one of the world’s top charter destinations, the British Virgin Islands), while the sun deck Jacuzzi and large on-deck dining area saw their fair share of scintillating drama. Ohana charters for around $160,000 per week. 

Season 3 Below Deck saw the 49.7m Eros make her television debut as she glided around the turquoise waters of The Bahamas with Captain Lee on the bridge. At the time she was officially named Mustang Sally, but has since been renamed Stay Salty. With space for 12 guests and 10 crew members, Stay Salty is currently not available for charter, which is a disappointment to those who dreamed of lounging in her outdoor hot tub or enjoying a meal with friends around the al fresco dining table. Designed by Geoff Van Aller, Stay Salty offers a classically elegant interior styling, with rich woods and neutral tones, as well as plenty of deck space…all of which needed meticulous cleaning by her famed 2015 crew. 

Valor appeared in Season 4, 5 and 7 of Below Deck as she cruised around the glorious superyacht destinations of the US Virgin Islands, Saint-Martin and Phuket, Thailand. The 47 metre Feadship is actually named BG (for her owner, the Canadian entrepreneur Bobby Genovese) and spends her winters in the Caribbean and summers in the Mediterranean. With her monogram palette, sky lounge, beautiful outdoor spaces and that infamous water slide, it is easy to see why Bravo used BG as the setting for so many of its seasons. BG charters for around €140,000/week. 

MY Seanna has now joined Valor in featuring more times than any other Below Deck superyacht, with appearances in three of the nine seasons. When we first met her she was sailing around the stunning tropical islands of French Polynesia in the South Pacific under her own name, but has since be renamed Starship (although in Season 9 Below Deck she is still using her original name). Throughout her seasons on the show, MY Seanna has cruised some of the world’s best superyacht destinations including Antigua and St Kitts. With her open air Jacuzzi, spacious beach club and adrenaline-pumping selection of water toys it’s no wonder she has been one of the show’s best-loved superyachts. Starship charters from $260,000/week. 

Below Deck Mediterranean and Below Deck Sailing Yacht

Below Deck’s astounding popularity has seen spin-off series’ Below Deck Mediterranean (with the much-loved Captain Sandy at the helm) and Below Deck Sailing Yacht (with the laid-back Captain Glen) air simultaneously. With new cruising grounds and a whole new fleet of spectacular charter superyachts, fans can get their fix of the trials, tribulations and behind-the-scenes intrigue of their favourite superyacht crews.

The yachts of the “main” Below Deck seasons

Motoryacht honor : below deck 1st season.

Honor is a 163,8 feet Benetti superyacht, appearing in the first season of the TV show. Her actual name is now Lumiere but was before Sotavento and Cuor di Leone. In the show, the ship was captained by Lee Rosbach around Sint Marteen .

Launched in 1999 and refitted in 2010 and 2020, she accommodates up to 12 guests in 6 cabins. She offers a stunning deskspace with a sprawling sundeck, jacuzzi, outdoor cinema, and a wide range of water toys.

Motoryacht Honor is available for charter from $189,000 per week in the Mediterranean and Motoryacht Honor last selling price was $15,900,000.

Motoryacht Ohana : 2nd season Below Deck

Ohana from a real name Rhino appears in the second season shot in BVI.

This stunning 154′ superyacht has beautiful decks, a stunning outdoor sundeck, and a horseshoe outdoor bar . Launched as Roxanan by Admiral Marine in 1998, she gets a total refit in a modern look after having been showcased.

Accommodating up to 10 guests and 10 crew, she offers a 6 person jacuzzi and a sundeck with a huge barbecue grill.

Motoryacht Honor Ohana was last sold for $9,995,000, you can charter her from $140,000 per week in the Caribbean or North America .

Motoryacht Eros : Below Deck season 3

Eros or Stay Salty (ex. Mustang Sally) appears in the famous TV show in the 3rd season shot in the Bahamas . The shipyard Trinity Yachts built this 161-foot superyacht in 2008 for Tim Hortons founder. Geoff Vann Aller took care of the exterior design. 

She can accommodate up to 12 guests and 10 crew members and offers a beautiful tri-deck with a saloon and sky-lounge jacuzzi.

Motoryacht Eros charter price starts from $175,000, but she isn’t currently available. Motoryacht Eros was last sold for $17,900,000.

Valor, the big star, in Below Deck seasons 4, 5 and 7

Valor is the most recurring yacht in Below Deck appearing in seasons 4,5 and 7 respectively shot in the US Virgin Islands, in Saint-Martin, and Phuket in Thailand . 

This 154-foot superyacht built by Feadship in 1990 accommodates up to 12 guests and 11 crew members. Designed by Frits De Voogt, her real name is BG from her owner Bobby Genovese.

With a sprawling aft deck, perfect for sunset dinners and afternoon lounges, boutique hotel-inspired interior, and a wide range of water toys, her weekly charter price starts at $168,000 by winter in the Caribbean and from $170,500 by summer in the Mediterranean.

Motoryacht Valor was bought in 2014 for $11,990,000.

Motoryacht My Seanna in seasons 6, 8 and 9 of Below Deck

My Seanna is the yacht you see in the 6th and 8th seasons sailing around Tahiti in Polynesia (6th season) and Antigua (8th season). Built-in 2000 by Delta Marine, she is 184,97’ in length. Key features include onboard cinema, jacuzzi, and spacious beach club.

Motoryacht My Seanna weekly charter ranges from $294,000 in the Caribbean and Motoryacht My Seanna purchase price is about $21,900,000.

Motoryacht St Davis in Below Deck season 10 and 11

The motoryacht St Davis is the star of the latest two Below Deck seasons, including the 11th scheduled to air in February 2024.

While the 10th Below Deck season happened in the very scenic St Lucia, you will see the St Davis in the non less scenic Grenada for the 11th season.

For the yacht enthusiasts, the St Davis is a 197ft (60m) motoryacht by the Benetti shipyard that can be rented from $325,000 / week in the Caribbean. Her last purchase price was at 22,5 million euros.

Yachts featured in Below Deck Mediterranean (spin off)

Motoryacht ionian princess in below deck mediterranean season i.

Ionian Princess was named from the TV show itself when she appears in the first season of Below Deck Mediterranean shot in Greece .

The 150’ was built by the shipyard Christensen, launched in 2005, and last refitted in 2016. She can host up to 12 guests in 6 different cabins and features a stunning and chic design interior, and a sundeck with a jacuzzi.She is listed for sale at $13,750,000 and can be chartered for $175,000 per week but she isn’t currently available.

Sirocco in Below Deck Mediterranean seasons 2 and 4

Sirrocco is a 154,2 feet superyacht launched in 2006 by the shipyard Heesen. She appears in the second and the fourth seasons of Below Deck Mediterranean shot respectively in Croatia and France.

Sirocco accommodates 12 guests who can enjoy an 8 pax jacuzzi and striking exterior and sundeck. She features an African chic interior and impressive design and amenities. She also offers a nice range of water toys.

Today, she’s available for charter throughout the Mediterranean from $219,000 per week during the low season and she is estimated at around $18 million.

Talisman Maiton in Below Deck Mediterranean season 3

You can watch Talisman Maiton, built and launched in 2006 by Proteksan Turquoise, in the third season of Below Deck in the Mediterranean shot in Italy . 

Named for an island in Thailand, her interior is inspired by Asian influences, but most recently refit in 2016 with a timeless Art Deco aesthetic. 

With her 177 feet length, she is suited for housing 12 guests in six rooms in addition to a 13 person crew. She features a sundeck spa pool with a beautiful bar, a full-service gym, and an observation deck with panoramic views.

Her weekly charter starts from $281,500 in the Mediterranean. In 2019, her selling asking price was about $18 million.

The Wellington in the fifth season of Below Deck Mediterranean

The Wellington, from her real name The Wellesley, is a beautiful 184,5 feet Oceanco built-in 2013. This superyacht is owned by Khalid Affara. Donald Starkey recreates with his design the grandeur of the Wellesley Hotel in Knightsbridge. She accommodates up to 12 guests.

Showcased in the 5th season of Below Deck Mediterranean shot in Spain , her charter price goes from $280,000 to $304,500 per week in the Mediterranean.

Lady Michelle in Below Deck Mediterranean 6th season

Lady Michelle is the star of the 6th season of Below Deck Mediterranean shot in Croatia. Her previous names were Cakewalk, Altitude, and Amnesia.

How to charter a Below Deck superyacht

Want to know how much it would cost to charter one of the luxury superyachts featured on US hit TV series Below Deck ? We take a look inside Below Deck ’s famous superyachts that you can charter for yourself, and find out what they have to offer charter guests on board.

60 metre Benetti motor yacht St David is the star of the tenth season of Below Deck, returning to the Caribbean with beloved Captain Lee. A finalist at the 2009 World Superyacht Awards , St David is a full-custom yacht with both interior and exterior design by British studio Winch Design .

She has made appearances at a number of high-profile events such as the Cannes Film Festival and has been spotted at various locations around the world including the Seychelles, Red Sea and Abu Dhabi. Accommodation is for 12 guests in six cabins, with a split-level master suite that lets in plenty of light.

A palatial theme characterises St David ’s social spaces, with features including a generous skylounge and a spiral staircase that leads through all three decks and is lit by a skylight in the spa pool of the sun deck. Elsewhere, St David has expansive water toy facilities and storage, including scuba dive gear, a new 7.2m tender, new Waverunners, and an electric foiling surfboard.

Charter cost: St David is managed by Morley Yachts with a weekly charter rate starting from €325,000.

The star of Below Deck Mediterranean season seven, 49.8 metre Home is the first “green” superyacht to appear on the show. Featuring a ground-breaking combination of a super-efficient Fast Displacement Hull Form by Van Oossanen Naval Architects with power provided by a hybrid propulsion system, Home boasts reduced emissions and fuel costs for the eco-conscious charter guest.

Defined by a distinctive vertical bow and large expanses of glass, Home was penned by Omega Architects and launched by Heesen in 2017. Her interiors, designed by Cristiano Gatto in a modern “Ibiza style”, can accommodate up to 12 guests in six cabins including a full-beam master cabin with a dedicated dressing room and a private office. There is also room for nine members of Below Deck crew on board, including Captain Sandy who has returned to the helm for the seventh season while Home is cruising the coasts of Malta .

The main socialising spot is up on the sundeck, complete with a Jacuzzi and sit-up bar, a shaded lounge and protection from the elements provided by glass screens. Closer to the water, a beach club with an air-conditioned gym is situated next to the swimming platform from which guests can launch the water toys including SeaBobs, Hoverboards, E-foils, Jet Skis and a Flyboard. Home also carries gear for scuba diving, waterskiing and wakesurfing for guests to make the most of their time on board.

Charter cost: Home is managed for charter by Burgess with a weekly charter rate starting from $245,000.

Yachts for charter

Sailing under her own name around the South Pacific islands of French Polynesia on Below Deck’s sixth series, the 56.4 metre My Seanna (now Starship ) was built by Delta Marine in 2000 and refitted in 2014. The Glade-Johnson designed superyacht reappeared again for season eight, where she was filmed cruising in Antigua. She is now starring in the latest season of the show, season nine, following her recent sale .

Key features include an open air Jacuzzi surrounded by an al fresco drinks bar, a gym, a sauna room, a helipad and a spacious beach club complete with a lounge, flatscreen TV and a small galley for preparing snacks or drinks. Her opulent interiors can accommodate up to 12 guests and 11 crew and even offer a home cinema and piano for entertaining in the main saloon. There are multiple toys carried on board as well, including gear for diving and spearfishing, Seabobs and equipment for underwater filming.

“The thing that I really love about My Seanna is the spacious cabins” says Worth Avenue retail charter broker, Shannon McCoy, who has appeared on episodes of Below Deck . She describes My Seanna as a “well-appointed yacht with a good collection of toys for the guests to enjoy,” offering an excellent layout with a variety of spaces that allows charterers “to have breakfast in a different place every morning or enjoy dinner whether it's outside under the sun or in the formal dining area.”

Charter cost: Starship is managed for charter by Worldwide Boat with a weekly charter rate starting from $275,000.

Yachts for sale

Lady michelle.

Sailing under her real name, Lady Michelle was the star of the sixth series of Below Deck Mediterranean , which was the latest series from the Med spin off. The 54.8 metre Benetti superyacht is the second biggest yacht ever to feature on the show, following just behind the 56.2 metre motor yacht The Wellington from season five. During season six Lady Michelle hosted charter guests in Ibenik, Croatia with Captain Sandy behind the helm.

First delivered in 2003, Lady Michelle features accommodation for up to 14 guests including a split-level master suite with its own panoramic observation lounge. Her Stefano Natucci interiors offer indoor and al fresco dining spaces, an expansive sundeck with a hot tub and dedicated gym. There’s also a range of toys at the guests’ disposal, from Jet Skis and Seabobs to fishing gear and a waterslide.

Charter cost: Lady Michelle is managed by Burgess with a weekly charter rate starting from $325,000.

The Wellington

Actually named The Wellesley , this 56.2 metre Oceanco superyacht is owned by property magnate and hotelier Khalid Affara and named after his luxury art deco hotel in London. Delivered in 1993, The Wellesley features extended deck spaces and Donald Starkey -penned interiors that replicate the grandeur of the eponymous Knightsbridge hotel. Highlights on board include a waterfall jacuzzi, an outdoor cinema for movies under the stars and a unique private club-style lounge complete with a Winston Churchill inspired cigar room. 

Describing why she makes an excellent charter yacht, James Graham-Cloete, director of charter management from TWW Yachts , says that The Wellesley is “ideal for entertaining family and friends, or hosting corporate events in utter privacy,” thanks to the fact that she “boasts some of the largest open deck spaces of any 56 metre on the water.” Graham-Cloete also adds that, on The Wellesley , “guests are invited to experience the same exceptional personal service, fine dining and attention to detail that has become synonymous with the hotel, on board a private superyacht,” while being looking after by her 14 crew members. “The crew have one of the lowest turnover rates in the industry and one of the best charter records, along with a full-time masseuse on board- making her the ultimate charter yacht!” says Graham-Cloete.

Charter cost: The Wellesley is managed by TWW Yachts with a weekly charter rate starting from €230,000.

Talisman Maiton

Built in 2006 by Turquoise Yachts , with a refit in 2012, the 54.2 metre Talisman Maiton sailed the coasts of Italy in the third series of Below Deck Mediterranean and was also captained by Sandy Yawn. Key features include a generous open plan sun deck with a forward-facing Jacuzzi and bar, al fresco dining spaces and a gym. Inside, she features six individually styled cabins for her 12 guests – including a master suite with its own private office – complemented by a sumptuous interior inspired by a combination of Asian and Art Deco influences. Her toy box is filled with snorkelling and fishing gear, Jet Skis and more for guests to enjoy while on board.

Charter cost: Talisman Maiton is managed by Burgess with a weekly charter rate starting from €273,000.

Ionian Princess

Appropriately named for the first season of Below Deck Mediterranean , which was set in Greece, the 45.7 metre Christensen -built yacht was captained by Mark Howard during filming. Launched in 2005 and last refitted in 2016, Ionian Princess features a luxurious Greek-style inspired interior finished with high-gloss sapelle mahogany joinery and custom in-laid stonework throughout. Ionian Princess can host up to 12 guests in six cabins, including two master cabins, and also boasts plentiful dining options and a sundeck equipped with a hot tub and sunpads. She also comes with a fleet of water toys from waterskiing and wakeboarding kit to Jet Skis and kayaks. Thanks to her shallow draft, she can also access hard-to-reach hidden gems in the Mediterranean Sea that other larger yachts aren’t able to. “ Ionian Princess is ideally suited for cruising the Mediterranean, which is the most sought-after region for summer yacht charters,” says her management team at charter brokers Northrop & Johnson.

Charter cost: Ionian Princess is managed by Northrop & Johnson with a weekly charter rate starting from $175,000.

Parsifal III

Parsifal III has been the star of the sailing yacht spin off of Below Deck , captained by Glenn Shephard during filming. The 54 metre Perini Navi was launched in 2005 and was designed by Rémi Tessier . She was most recently refitted in 2020, and offers accommodation for a total of 12 guests and nine crew. Her design has seen her scoop a number of World Superyacht Awards and provides her with excellent performance capabilities at sea; when the weather is on your side, Parsifal III can hit speeds of up to 18 knots under sail. While at anchor, there is still plenty to keep guests entertained with a variety of al fresco and indoor dining spaces, a flybridge hot tub, gym equipment, a swimming platform and a fully-stocked toybox.

Charter cost: Parsifal III is managed for charter by Camper & Nicholsons with a weekly charter rate starting from €195,000.

Appearing on the second season of the show in 2014 under her own name, Ohana has since been sold and renamed Star Diamond The yacht was originally launched as Roxana by Admiral Marine in 1998 and last refitted in 2018. Designed by Donald Starkey , her interiors have a classic feel with glossy wood finishes and a colour palette blending nautical colours like creamy whites and marine blues. Key features on board this 46.94 metre yacht include accommodation for 10 guests and 10 crew, a six person Jacuzzi on the sun deck alongside a barbecue grill and plenty of spaces for al alfresco dining and drinking.

For a fun entrance into the water, Star Diamond also has an inflatable slide which guests can slip down on from the top deck plus there are a number of other water toys stored on board from Jet Skis to to fishing gear. During the summer, Star Diamond can be found cruising the coasts of New England while in winter she chases the sunshine by heading south to Florida and The Bahamas.

Charter cost: Star Diamond is managed by Ahoy Club and Northrop & Johnson with a weekly charter rate starting from $160,000.

This 50 metre Benetti superyacht kicked off the yachting TV show in style in July 2013. Captained by Lee Rosbach , she was based in the Caribbean isles during the filming of the first season. On Below Deck she was called Honor but in reality, her name is actually Barents . Delivered in 1999 to a design by Stefano Natucci , Barents just underwent an extensive full refit earlier in 2021 and can host up to 12 guests on board in six staterooms. Features viewers may have seen on the show include the stunning sun deck equipped with a hot tub, drinks bar and outdoor cinema, the additional indoor cinema, the beach club and the gym, as well as the extensive fleet of water toys such as Jet Skis and gear for wakeboarding, waterskiing, fishing and snorkelling.

Charter cost: Barents is not currently available for charter, though she was sold in 2020 for $9,900,000 by IYC and Worth Avenue Yachts to a buyer represented by Parsifal Yachting.

Captain Lee’s Kids: Everything To Know About ‘Below Deck’ Star’s 5 Kids, Including His Son Who Tragically Died

Captain  Lee Rosbach   is beloved by fans as the captain of the Honor superyacht in the hit Bravo series   Below Deck.   Lee, 73, has been a captain for over 30 years, and he’s been starring on the series since 2013. Unfortunately, Lee was fired from the show after ten seasons in 2023. He admitted that the firing “came out of left field” in an interview with Us Weekly   in May 2023, but he’s reportedly going to team up with  Kate Chastain for a new show Couch Talk,  according to   E! News. 

He’s been wed to his wife  Mary Anne  for almost 50 years, and the couple are parents to five grownup children. They have one daughter and four sons, and they have many more grandkids, Find out everything you need to know about Captain Lee’s kids here.

Sherry Ryan Rosbach

While Lee’s children have mostly kept out of the spotlight, he did make a rare choice to tag his only daughter Sherry  in an Instagram post in September 2021. The captain was gushing about how proud he was to be a great-grandfather, sharing a photo of his great-granddaughter  Amelia Charlotte  dressed up as a mermaid. “Doesn’t fall far from the tree, I hope,” he wrote in the caption .

In the post, Lee tagged Sherry, and she often posts family photos, where she shows that she’s on proud grandmother! She regularly shares photos with her granddaughter, but she occasionally posts photos with her parents.

Glen Rosbach

Like his sister, Glen has stayed out of the spotlight following his dad’s success on  Below Deck.  Despite that he’s mostly kept private, the captain did reveal that his son and grandson both joined him when he threw the first pitch out at a Miami Marlins game in August 2019. “Had the honor of throwing out the first pitch at the Marlins-Dodgers game last night with my son Glen and Grandson Cody . What a thrill. Trying to get back into life,” he wrote in the caption.

He also shared a cute video of his grandson Cody doing the lineup exchange at home plate. The youngster walked up to the plate and shook hands with members of the Marlins and Dodgers, as his proud grandfather stood with him. “Experience of a lifetime,” Lee wrote.

Sean Rosbach

While Lee’s kids may mostly keep to themselves, at least one has clearly been inspired by his dad to set sail on super yachts. His son  Sean  is reportedly a chef for a private yacht, per Express . While he may not captain a ship like his dad, he’s definitely captain of the kitchen.

Eric Rosbach

Captain Lee’s son  Eric  appears to be the most private of all of his kids. There is not much known about Lee’s second youngest child.

Josh Rosbach

Captain Lee’s family suffered a horrible tragedy on July 22, 2019. Lee’s youngest son  Joshua   died of an accidental overdose. He was just 42 years old. Lee revealed that he had found his son after his death in an emotional plea before Congress in October 2021, per  People .  He said that he went to Josh’s home after his son told him that he’d come over to help him on a Monday afternoon. He said that he went over and found his son slumped over on the couch, and when he went to wake him, he wouldn’t wake up. “”I remember every second of that day, like a horrific, devastating movie scene playing over and over in my head. Except it’s no movie, it’s my reality. The sight of my son on the sofa is the first image I see every day when I wake up, and it’s the last thing I picture every night before I fall asleep. This is how I’ve spent every night and every day for the last two years. Can you imagine that? Can you imagine finding someone you love more than your own life itself dead and cold on their couch?” he said.

When Josh died, Lee shared an emotional tribute to his son on his Instagram . Since his death, he got a tattoo of his son’s face right over his heart. “We loved Josh unconditionally and were proud of the man he had become in spite of his problems. There was no one i ever knew who gave more of himself to those in his life. He loved with all his being without expecting anything in return. We both feel a hole in our souls that will never be filled,” he wrote.

Below Deck Yachts

If you’ve never seen the show, it follows the crew of a luxury yacht during peak “charter season.” The original Below Deck, for example, showed off the glitz and glamour of the Caribbean, especially around St. Thomas, the British Virgin Islands, and the Bahamas. The Mediterranean spin-off, on the other hand, highlights European hotspots, including Italy, Spain and Croatia.

The show is undeniably a ton of fun. From the drama in the crew quarters, to the incredible beaches, the show provides an entertaining look behind the curtain.

Yet, the chartered superyachts are the real stars of the show. Each season, Below Deck features a truly stunning super yacht. All of them measure over 150 feet and are decked out in opulent features, staterooms and amenities. And here’s something you might not know: The majority of the Below Deck yachts are available for charter!

Below Deck Charter Yachts

Through five seasons, Below Deck has featured some of the most magnificent super yachts in the world. Some of the yachts have changed ownership since the show, been renamed, or have undergone a refitting. Yet, most look like they did from the show.

But beyond the name and maybe a few changes to the interior, there aren’t many differences. All of the water toys, Jacuzzis and stunning outdoor dining areas are what you’ll find on the yachts available for charter! So which charter yachts are available?

Here’s a more detailed look at the yachts featured on the original Below Deck:

Honor – Season 1

Honor (which is now LUMIERE) kicked off the first season, and she put on a dazzling display. The yacht, originally built by Benetti in 1999, is one of the largest yachts ever featured on the show, and it was actually booked for a five-week charter for filming.

HONOR benefited from the new-found fame of the show. She sold after it aired for nearly $15 million, and the new owners completely refit her interiors and renamed the boat. Today, LUMIERE is a masterpiece of nautical engineering.

She features luxurious accommodations for up to 12 guests and an abundance of deck space, including a sprawling sun deck. The yacht also features a wide array of water toys (the slide was a struggle for the crew all season!).

Ohana – Season 2

Season 2 took the crew on a tour of the British Virgin Islands and featured some familiar faces. Captain Lee, Chef Ben, and Bosun Eddie were back, much to the pleasure of fans. Yet, the yacht was completely different.

OHANA (real name is RHINO) was featured on the second season, a stunning 154-footer, with beautiful decks, a horseshoe outdoor bar, and a stunning outdoor sun deck. After the show aired in 2014, Ohana underwent an extensive retrofit.

She now features an updated interior with a decidedly modern, airy vibe, as well as new hardware, including a state-of-the-art stabilization system.

Eros – Season 3

EROS took centerstage in Season 3, and the 161-foot yacht, originally built for the founder of Tim Hortons, was one of the most luxurious featured on the show. The beautiful tri-deck, featured a stately saloon, a sky lounge Jacuzzi, and sleek exterior styling.

EROS – which was sold prior to the third season – has since been renamed and was also remodeled. She’s now known as Mustang Sally, and unfortunately, this is one of the few Below Deck charter yachts that’s not available for charter.

Valor – Seasons 4 & 5

The stately VALOR was a fan favorite in Season 4 and 5. Built in 1990 by Dutch-based Feadship, the 154-foot VALOR featured a sprawling aft deck, perfect for sunset dinners and afternoon lounges. Plus, the ship – when featured on the show – had a range of water toys, including dual jet skis and a sleek, boutique hotel-inspired interior.

Like Mustang Sally, VALOR – which is now known as simply BG – isn’t available for charter. Yet, fans will always remember all the drama that took place on board.

Below Deck Mediterranean Yachts

Below Deck Mediterranean premiered in 2016, and through three seasons, the show has featured some of the Med’s best yachts. All of the yachts from the Mediterranean spin-off are available for charter, exactly how you see them on the show.

Ionian Princess – Season 1

Season 1 of Below Deck Mediterranean launched with a bang, featuring one of the strongest premieres for the franchise. Although there was plenty of drama throughout the season as the crew traveled around Greece, the beauty of IONIAN PRINCESS couldn’t be missed. The ship, which was originally built in the U.S. in 2005, featured a sleek, streamlined tri-deck design and gorgeous interiors.

The sun deck – where guests partied all season long – is one of the yacht’s star attractions, featuring a Jacuzzi with world-class views. Her interior, though, is one of the most stunning, featuring a chic design. The yacht also includes six cabins with accommodations for up to 12 guests.

Sirocco – Season 2

Season 2 took the crew to Croatia, aboard SIROCCO. The Dutch-built yacht originally launched in 2006, and thanks to its unique two-tone, third-deck exterior, she was remembered for her striking exterior. All of the yacht’s features made great TV. From her incredible sun deck, to the African chic interior, and all of the many water toys, SIROCCO’s impressive design and amenities stood out.

Today, she’s available for charter throughout the Mediterranean. A few unique features include a sun deck gym, an alfresco party deck, a theatre, and a wide array of water toys.

Talisman Maiton – Season 3

Named for an island in Thailand, TAILSMAN MAITON is a stunning tri-deck that cruises the pristine waters of Italy and all of the Mediterranean. The largest to ever be featured on the show, TAILSMAN is truly incredible.

The yacht accommodates 12 guests, in 6 beautifully appointed rooms. There’s a master suite, as well as 1 VIP stateroom, and four smaller cabins. The yacht was built in 2006, but most recently refit in 2016 with a timeless Art Deco aesthetic. The yacht also features a sundeck spa pool with a beautiful bar, a full-service gym, and an observation deck with panoramic views.

How Long Are the Below Deck Charters?

‘Below Deck’ Sails Into a New Era

With a different captain at the helm and new production elements, the reality show about charter yachts is switching up its style.

Starting a new season of “ Below Deck ” can be similar to returning to summer camp as a kid — you know it’s going to be fun and that you’ll be in the same environment, but some of the people will be different and you’re not quite sure what the vibes will be.

This time around, in particular, feels that way because for the first time in the show’s 11-season run, Captain Lee Rosbach is no longer at the helm. It’s a pivotal moment for a franchise that has become one of the most popular entities in the sprawling universe of reality TV since premiering on Bravo in 2013 . The show’s appeal was built on endless romances between various crew members (“boatmances,” as they came to be known), horrible charter guests and some sort of passive-aggressive fight about how many shackles of the anchor chain should be in the water. And there was always Rosbach presiding over the drama as he trudged around the boat, reeling off one liners like “I’m madder than a pissed-on chicken” and “we screwed the pooch so many times we should have a litter of puppies running around.”

At the center of the show now is Kerry Titheradge (the stern yet goofy captain of “Below Deck Adventure” fame), who is managing the Motor Yacht Saint David with the cheeky chief stew Fraser Olender by his side.

With that change in captain, the energy on the boat — both onscreen and off — is different, according to Olender.

“Lee has a no B.S. attitude, which I love with him,” Olender said in an interview. “With Kerry, he taught me a lot and sort of forced to me confront issues directly with my team, work them out, as opposed to making executive decisions too soon.”

This shift in management style changes the central conflict — whereas the drama once focused on the captain swiftly kicking out any unpleasant crew member (as we might have seen with Rosbach), the drama now focuses on the whole crew trying to get along (since Titheradge gives people those second chances).

Additionally, Olender noted that the captain’s relationship with the crew can also affect the drama on board.

“Captains absolutely do get involved, whether they know it or not,” Olender said, adding that for the crew, everything is about “trying to impress your captain.”

This phenomenon plays out early in the new season when the lead deckhand, Ben Willoughby, called out a fellow crew member over the radios about not wearing a life vest — something he easily could have done in private. The drama that followed became an interpersonal conflict between the two of them, both with the ultimate goal of impressing Titheradge. (Of course, the two deckhands had kissed on the previous crew night out, which is more in line with the “Below Deck” drama viewers are used to.)

For “Below Deck” showrunners, the changeovers in the cast allowed them to rethink what the show would look like.

From the season premiere, it was immediately apparent that Rosbach’s absence wasn’t the only change this season: The filming is sleeker, the daily, multicourse meals prepared by the chef are given their own glamour shots and the cameras sometimes cut to the perspectives of yachties running around on deck and through the galley.

“Our showrunner, Lauren Simms, is an avid consumer of all different kinds of media,” Noah Samton, a senior vice president of unscripted current production for NBCUniversal, said in an interview. “She pitches us different ideas on how to stylistically evoke different feelings and change the mood a little bit of ‘Below Deck’ without removing what really works.”

Moving through the rest of the season, and potentially through seasons to come, Olender is aiming to bring a cutthroat management style while also bringing affection for his stews, all with his signature British humor.

On Bravo’s side, there are changes in the works for the other “Below Deck” spinoffs — including “Sailing Yacht,” “Mediterranean” and “Down Under” — which collectively, have 26 seasons. Specifically, Samton said that “Down Under” is currently filming and that even though fans should be ready to see new things, the show will stay true to its original concept.

“These are real yachties doing a real job so you have to stay within those confines because the audience isn’t going to want anything that is too produced or fake,” Samton said. “So we have to find ways to reinvent while staying true to the original concept of the show.”

And as Olender said: “I’m sure that every year if I were to work with this franchise again, that I’ll be thrown a collection of total chaotic and disastrous stews — that’s what makes it watchable.”

An earlier version of this article misquoted Fraser Olender, the chief stew of “Below Deck.” He said, “I also feel like Kerry this season. ... Lee has a no B.S. attitude, which I love with him,” not “I feel like Kerry this season, as opposed to Lee, has a no B.S. attitude, which I love with him.”

Below Deck Captains Reveal Secrets From the Show

All five of Bravo’s iconic Below Deck captains sat down for “one epic discussion” in a Bravo promo clip released on March 19.

“Hear about how it all started!” the voiceover says. “[Learn about] the most dangerous part of making the show.” There is so much that goes on behind the scenes that viewers never think about.” Well, that’s presumptuous. But maybe they have a point. What have they cooked up here?

“This is Bravo’s Below Deck: At the Helm.”

How it all began

Captain Lee Rosbach discusses how they had all just been doing their jobs as yacht captains before being chosen for the show. “All of a sudden, here’s this reality TV show that we’re thrust into,” he says.

While the rest of the captains went through a process of “interviewing, taping,” Captain Lee says, “I was just a pure accident. I was that baby that wasn’t expected. So I didn’t do any interviews; I didn’t do any taping. It was just, like, ‘We’re filming tomorrow, and you’re the captain.'”

“I honestly think I was pretty naïve,” adds Captain Jason Chambers . “So I didn’t think it was this big of a deal. I don’t live in America, I live in the Philippines … They rang me and said, ‘Do you want to apply for being the captain?’ And I was, like, ‘Could be time for a change!'”

Bravo’s only female yacht captain, Captain Sandy Yawn , added, “I’m sober. My sponsor goes, ‘Sandy, when a door of opportunity opens, walk through the door, cause you can always walk back out.’ And that’s when I said yes.”

“[Initially], I wasn’t sure I wanted to be involved,” Captain Glenn Shephard admitted. “[But] I remember reaching out to [Lee and Sandy], and you … said, ‘Just do your job and be yourself.’ … And that’s why I’m sitting here today, so thank you very much.”

Captain Kerry Titheradge tells us, “I’d just gone through a divorce, and I didn’t know which direction I wanted to go. I actually left boats, and I was painting houses … When the opportunity came along, they said it was gonna be Alaska, a bucket list place. And I’m like, ‘You know what? It doesn’t matter what happens. I’m gonna go to Alaska!'”

Below Deck captains go behind the scenes

Captain Lee recalls pulling into port in St. Martin and seeing the huge production crew standing on the dock. “As soon as the gangplank’s down, they’re invading the boat,” he says. “They’re ripping walls down, … ripping ceilings out, installing cameras [and] wiring. Nobody really knew what we were doing or what to expect because nobody had ever filmed before in a boat that was gonna be moving.”

Captain Jason talks about the learning curve. “My first season was the same thing,” he adds. “You get a little uptight.” But by Season 2, he’d adjusted and had no problem.

“Having the cameras there is not that big a deal,” Captain Glenn agrees. “You get used to them pretty quickly, and you kind of just ignore them and get on with your job. The logistics of getting all the production people on and off the boat safely, multiple times a day, adds an extra element.”

In addition, as Lee points out, Glenn is on a sailing vessel. They have no stabilizers as the other boats do, so they’re “rolling and rocking” the whole time.

At the end of the day, the production crew has to get off the boat because there’s nowhere for them to sleep. “You don’t have to go home, but you can’t stay here,” as the song says.

The  St. David  is down not one, but two crewmembers.

During Below Deck 's March 18 episode, Captain Kerry Titheradge  fired the first season 11 yachtie when he let Bosun Jared Woodin go for unprofessional behavior, the last straw being an inebriated Jared barging into Stew Barbie Pascual 's cabin the night prior and yelling at Deckhand Kyle Stillie for leaving a mess of loose tobacco on the deck after a night of partying. 

"This is the second time you've gone on the piss and you've had bad behavior," Kerry told his subordinate. "You're in a leadership role. You can't be acting like that. You gotta be above the fray. The way that you're treating these guy is not acceptable."

But it wasn't just the alcohol that was the problem, as Kerry noted Jared's mental state wasn't where it needed to be. "You've got s--t going on, man," he shared. "You're your own worst enemy right now. You need to depart the vessel."

However, Jared agreed his head wasn't in the right place and accepted his termination graciously.

"This ain't the right place for me at the right time," Jared replied, to which Kerry responded, "I don't blame you for that. Take this time and work on yourself. Me keeping you here is a disservice to you."

Before departing the super-yacht, Jared reflected in a confessional, "I thought I was in a good headspace coming into this. I'm really not. And as much as I'd like to be I'm just lying to myself."

But Jared wasn't the only teammate to set sail during the latest episode. Stew Cat Baugh willingly left the ship after admittedly struggling with the job all season long.

"I really wanna push through for you guys," Cat, in tears, told Chief Stew Fraser Olender after receiving a very distressing call from a friend back home in America. "I'm just losing my mind right now."

And Fraser totally understood his crewmember's needs.

If there's one thing to learn from Camille Lamb 's Below Deck firing, it's to not slack off on the job. That's exactly why the season 10 stew was let go by substitute Captain Sandy Yawn , as Chief Stew Fraser Olender continued to criticize Camille's behavior on board.

From being caught drinking while preparing for a new charter to partying at late hours and more, Fraser informed Captain Sandy that he had reached his "last straw."

"She's the common denominator in all of this," said Captain Sandy. "Great girl, great personality, but at the same time, we have to do what's best for the boat."

Below Deck Adventure 's Kyle Dickard was let go just three episodes into the reality franchise's latest series—which premiered in November 2022. After picking fights with his fellow deckhand Nathan Morley —as well as kissing crew mates in front of guests—Kyle was offered by Captain Kerry Titheradge the opportunity to resign so that his firing would not end up on his personal record.

Kyle took the Captain up on his offer and left the boat after just one charter.

Captain Sandy let bosun Raygan Tyler go during season seven of Below Deck Mediterranean ,  not only for causing the boat to  take a small hit while docking, but also for not stepping up to the plate as a leader.

But Captain Sandy didn't want her firing to discourage the bosun, as she told Raygan, "If I had the time and I wasn't running a boat this size, I would train you. I would teach you."

In addition to onboard romances and failing to follow directions , one of the biggest reasons behind stew Elizabeth Frankini 's Below Deck firing was her infamous laundry room accident , during which made a toxic mess when combining bleach and laundry soap.

"Unfortunately, I didn't know that was so toxic and I feel so bad about it," she told E! News of the incident in December 2020 . "You know, I do feel really bad, especially 'cause Francesca [ Rubi ] did say, 'Take it outside.'"

The bosun and stew were both fired by Captain Jason Chambers for inappropriate behavior after a night of partying with their fellow yachties.

Luke Jones was let go after getting into Stew Margot Sisson 's bed naked while she was drunk and unconscious. Laura Bileskaine also made unwanted advances on Deckhand Adam Kodra despite him telling her he was not interested in hooking up.

Jason made it known that consent was a must, and sent both crewmembers packing.

Tensions between stew Lexi Wilson and Chef Mathew Shea came to a head during an explosive dinner fight on season six of Below Deck Mediterranean , during which Lexi told Matt that his parents "should've aborted you." That was the last straw for Captain Sandy, who fired her not long after the incident.

Deckhand Tom Pearson said "bon voyage" to Below Deck Sailing Yacht after getting let go by Captain Glenn Shephard . Tom hit his last strike with the Captain after failing to report that the boat's anchor was dragging during heavy winds one night, causing a potential safety risk for everyone on board.

"It had to be done. It was such a grievous thing that he dropped the ball there, he had to go, and we had to just be man down and live with it, you know?" Captain Glenn said of the decision  on Watch What Happens Live. "So, obviously, you don't want to do that, but yeah, it had to happen."

Some people are picky eaters, but Below Deck Down Under' s Ryan McKeown was quite the picky chef, as he would judge guests'  food requests  and fail to take  criticism from Captain Jason Chambers , as well.

Perhaps Ryan's Below Deck exit is one of the franchise's most memorable, as he mooned Jason and viewers on his way off the boat.

Below Deck Down Under stew Magda Ziomek 's firing was another case of slacking on the job. After constantly being on her phone texting or video chatting with her boyfriend, Chief Stew Aesha Scott decided to replace Magda before the end of the charter season.

Below Deck Mediterranean 's Peter Hunziker was fired from the series in June 2020 after he shared an offensive post on social media.

"Peter Hunziker of Below Deck Mediterranean has been terminated for his racist post," Bravo wrote in a statement at the time. "Bravo and 51 Minds are editing the show to minimize his appearance for subsequent episodes."

Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier was let go by Captain Sandy on Below Deck Mediterranean after boson Malia White discovered her co-star possessed undeclared Valium and a vape pen, the former of which Hannah claimed was for her anxiety.

"If I could do it all over again, I would've just declared them as soon as I came on board," Hannah stated in an August 2020 interview with E! News. "It was definitely not something that was intentional. I wasn't trying to hide anything.

Below Deck Mediterranean 's Delaney Evans left just as quickly as she arrived. After initially being brought on during season six to help out Chief Stew Katie Flood , Katie determined that Delaney was doing more harm than good, choosing to let her go after just one charter.

"I think she was overwhelmed with the situation, and I think that, you know, in her mind, the best solution to the situation was just to go back to what they had before," Delaney told Bravo Insider of Katie's decision. "I think she was just overwhelmed with everything that was going on and all the feedback she was getting."

Deckhand Shane Coopersmith was a bit in over his head on season eight of Below Deck , as he was let go for failing to know basic skills, reporting late for duty and taking naps on the job.

Chaos in the kitchen led to Captain Lee Rosbach letting Chef Leon Walker go on season three of Below Deck . After an oven fire broke out , Lee placed the blame on Chief Stew Kate Chastain but was ultimately the one sent home.

Like several of the franchise's stars, Below Deck 's Chris Brown  was fired  during season five for failing to fully perform his duties. After being let go by Captain Lee, Chris shared some parting words as he left the boat, stating , "Who gives a s--t?"

Chef Mila Kolomeitseva was fired by Captain Sandy on season four of Below Deck Mediterranean after failing to use her cooking skills to produce top-quality food for guests—including some not-so-nice nachos .

"Of course it makes me feel awful," Mila said of her departure . "People like me who have big egos sometimes have to be put down to earth a little bit. But it makes me feel like I want to work even harder."

Sometimes people just don't work well together. That's exactly why Captain Lee fired Chandler Brooks during season six of Below Deck , telling the boson, "I don't think it's a good fit."

Below Deck's Ben Willoughby Might Have Broken The Law During First Departure As Bosun

• Ben Willoughby may have broken the law when he helped the St. David depart during the most recent Below Deck episode.

• Emotions ran high during the longest charter of the season, causing drama that Ben wouldn't want to experience again.

Below Deck cast member Ben Willoughby admitted he might have committed an illegal act when he became the bosun. Below Deck season 11 is expected to feature a record number of firings. In the most recent episode, Captain Kerry Titheradge fired Jared Woodin after he caused a hostile situation with the rest of the cast. He also didn't fit in well with his position or with his fellow crew members. Once he left the St. David , Captain Kerry asked Ben to step up and become the new bosun after being the lead deckhand.

"I don't even know if it's legal, to be honest."

After a drama-filled episode of Below Deck season 11 , Ben spoke with Us Weekly to give his honest reactions to everything that went down. He believed he could handle stepping into the bosun position after Jared's firing. However, Ben revealed that he might have inadvertently broken the law when he helped the St. David depart during that charter. He admitted, "It's unheard of [though when we] first [are] coming off the dock. You've got two deck members while Sunny [Marquis] is on the tender. You wouldn't do that. I don't even know if it's legal, to be honest ."

Ben Willoughby Wants An "Equal Playing Field"

Ben willoughby doesn't want to go through this drama again.

Emotions were " running high " during that charter for all sorts of reasons, not the least of which was that they were working on their longest charter of the season. Having both Jared and Cat Baugh leave prematurely made the situation even worse than it already was. As a result, " it's just not an equal playing field ." It was quite a hectic experience for everyone on board the St. David during that charter, and Ben " wouldn't want to do that again ." Despite this ordeal, they still needed to provide a five-star experience for their guests without letting the drama become public knowledge.

Ben didn't go into any more details about what maritime law he might have broken , but it appears that it has to do with how many people were involved in each area helping the yacht depart from the dock. He specifically mentioned there were two deckhands as well as Sunny handling the tender. Considering the St. David was down a crew member after Jared's firing, it's possible that, from a legal standpoint, there should have been more crew members helping out with the departure.

During his interview with Us Weekly , Ben noted that the interior crew was going to help out the deck team as much as they could , things like cleaning up the crew mess and other related tasks that might have been fulfilled by the deckhands if they still had Jared on the team. Unfortunately, that meant the interior team had to " take [more] duties in their own department ," which created even more headaches. Someone getting fired from one team ends up affecting not just those crew members but also all the other teams on the yacht.

Ben Willoughby Almost Quit Below Deck Season 11

Ben willoughby was frustrated after being denied bosun position.

When Below Deck season 11 began, Ben found his lack of a promotion very frustrating . Before the current season started, he worked as a bosun on some other ships. Unfortunately, returning to Below Deck meant he was downgraded from bosun back down to lead deckhand. He said, " I was like...'I've got to bite my tongue a bit here and see what kind of circus this person's running. " When it became clear that Jared wasn't up to the task, Ben was ready to quit, explaining, " I was like, 'If we're going to keep going with this, I'm going to walk off this boat.' "

Captain kerry would likely have known if ben broke the law, ben waited until after below deck season 11 to divulge this info.

It's interesting that Ben felt comfortable revealing his possible illegal act after Below Deck season 11 finished filming . It's unclear if Captain Kerry was aware of any rules being broken. Considering Ben had just been promoted from lead deckhand to bosun, he probably didn't want to lose the captain's trust, which might have happened if Ben had admitted to Kerry that he wasn't completely following the rules. Then again, Kerry is such a great captain that he likely would have been aware if something was amiss, especially during the departure when he's actively involved in making sure the St. David departs correctly.

Ben might not have broken any rules since Captain Kerry would have noticed if something was amiss during the departure.

If that hypothesis is correct, then Ben probably didn't break any rules. Now that Ben had divulged this information, though, it would be interesting to hear directly from Captain Kerry to find out if Ben and the crew did anything illegal. Rules have been broken before on Below Deck yachts , both by crew members and the guests, including needing the proper paperwork. A scandal broke out during Below Deck Mediterranean season 8 with Ruan Irving's forged documents. Considering everyone's safety needs to be taken into account, it's important to follow all the rules.

Despite his frustrations, Ben managed to stick around long enough for Jared to be fired, which resulted in him finally receiving his promotion. So far, Ben seems to be handling his duties well. There are still plenty more charters left in the season, so Ben will have to keep proving himself to Captain Kerry so that he doesn't end up fired as well . After all, Jared's departure was just the first of what is expected to be many firings during Below Deck season 11, and everyone needs to be on their best behavior to ensure the remainder of the charter season is smooth sailing.

In a recent exclusive, we revealed that the name of the Below Deck Season 4 yacht will be superyacht VALOUR. Now, in a further exclusive, we can unveil her real name, and show some previously unseen photographs of her interior.

Following Bravo TV's tradition of naming yachts after 'Homeric' Greek mythology, the forthcoming Below Deck Season 4 superyacht VALOUR is in actual fact the 47m/154ft motor yacht BG .

A sophisticated and modern motor yacht  built by the prestigious Dutch shipyard  Feadship , she possess a quality which is the yachting equivalent of a Rolls Royce. Bringing together the very best in luxury amenities in a highly styled environment, her interior decor is entirely contemporary and her outdoor areas are designed to keep up with the very best superyachts.

Her refit in 2015 was coordinated by Dee Dee Taylor Eustace, the celebrity architect and interior designer who established Taylor Hannah Architect Inc. With considerable experience in high-end residential interior design, and an extensive knowledge of the marine lifestyle, her signature use of colour and space makes BG every inch the ideal superyacht.

With this in mind, it’s no surprise that the yacht was chosen for Below Deck season 4. Indeed, it offers a suitably glamorous setting for the latest crew to treat their guests in, and showcases perfectly why private yacht charter is the most exclusive and desirable vacation choice. Working to create a ‘Hampton Beach House’ theme, the work Dee Dee Eustace carried out in the interior utilises designer fabrics and timeless furnishings to complement the expertly refined layout.

Indeed, her long main salon features an impressive symmetrical arrangement which nicely emphasises the space inside, and will certainly provide the perfect space for the amplified drama viewers have come to expect from the franchise.

Adjacent to the main salon, the dining room features an appropriately styled patina and rosewood table to ensure all guests enjoy their meals, and features a custom built wine wardrobe capable of storing up to 120 bottles of wine.

The master suite on the main deck has received the same refreshing treatment, with a comfortable seating area and a hugely voluminous en-suite feeling more like a penthouse apartment than simply a bedroom.

Each of her 5 other guest suites are similarly well designed and provide exceptional accommodation for up to 12 guests- a perfect arrangement for both families and small parties.

The exterior spaces of luxury yacht BG are just as impressive- here, guests are able to take advantage of expansive sunpads and a sizeable table for some outstanding al fresco dining.

Sure to keep the cast of Below Deck Season 4 ultra-busy is the Jacuzzi located on the upper deck. Perfectly situated for taking in oceanic views whilst enjoying a soak, the guests will certainly be after a crew capable of bringing out drinks and fresh towels at a moment’s notice.

Furthermore, the spacious dining and entertaining area on the bridge deck aft boasts a large projector screen for guests to enjoy a movie after dark.

Steps on both the port and starboard side of the aft deck provide convenient access to the full beam swim platform which is nicely extended for greater access to the water. From this platform guests are able to effortlessly board tenders, begin playing with her catalogue of towable water toys, or simply dive into the ocean to cool off.

Here’s why Captain Jason Chambers called himself ‘naive’ about Below Deck Down Under

Captain Jason Chambers quickly became a fan favorite from the moment he first appeared on Below Deck Down Under.

The hunky captain had Below Deck fans and his own crew members gushing over him.

The Bravo personality also didn’t realize how much his life would change from the show.

Boy, has it ever changed! That was proved more than ever at BravoCon last year when all the ladies wanted a piece of the hot captain.

As Below Deck Down Under fans anxiously wait for Season 3, Captain Jason has revealed his initial thoughts about the yachting franchise.

Here’s why Captain Jason Chambers thinks he was ‘naïve’ about Below Deck Down Under

Captain Jason joined Below Deck’s Captain Lee Rosbach, Below Deck Sailing Yacht star Captain Glenn Shephard, Below Deck Med’s Captain Sandy Yawn, and Below Deck star Captain Kerry Titheradge to give some behind-the-scenes details on the hit yachting franchise.

When discussing how everyone got involved with their respective Below Deck shows, Captain Jason opened up about not realizing the yachting show was such a big deal before he joined it.

“I honestly think I was pretty naive. I didn’t think it was this big of a deal, you know,” Captain Jason expressed. “I don’t live in America. I do live in the Philippines.”

The captain spoke about how he ended up being cast on the latest Below Deck spin-off.

“I got a phone call about using the boat in Below Deck. Then they rang me and said you want to apply for being the captain. I was like, I was okay could be time for a change,” he dished.

All five captains opened up about safety and the struggles of working on a yacht while also filming a reality TV show.

Hint: the biggest challenge is getting the production team on and off the yacht safely, even if the weather conditions are not great.

What do we know about Below Deck Down Under Season 3?

Season 2 of Below Deck Down Under put the show on the map due to Captain Jason and his trusty chief stew, Aesha Scott. How they dealt with Luke Jones and Laura Bileskalne earned them mad props and took the show to a whole new level.

Since Below Deck Down Under ended last fall without any reunion, fans have been waiting to hear news about Season 3. In December, Captain Jason revealed that Below Deck Down Under Season 3 hadn’t even filmed yet.

Well, the good news is that according to Noah Samton, a senior vice president of unscripted current production for NBCUniversal, the season is currently filming or was at the time he spoke with The New York Times.

We don’t know exactly what that means in terms of when the show will air, other than the fact that it likely won’t be until the end of this year or early next year.

Some fans have voiced concern that Aesha won’t be involved because she’s been all over social media lately. In fact, Aesha just shared a life-changing moment with her boyfriend, Scotty Dobson.

Captain Jason Chambers didn’t talk at all about the next season in the video with the other captains, but hopefully, we will hear some news soon.

The timing of the captain’s video comes hot on the heels of Monsters and Critics reporting that Below Deck fans have named Captain Jason their favorite.

Below Deck Down Under is currently on hiatus on Bravo. Seasons 1-2 are streaming on Peacock.

Cat Baugh joined the cast of Below Deck season 11 as a steward, but couldn't keep up with the fast-paced job. What has she been up to since leaving?

Cat Baugh departed from Below Deck season 11, but what has the former steward been up to since leaving the show? Cat had a difficult time throughout the charter season, adjusting to life aboard the St. David, which ultimately resulted in her decision to leave. Below Deck season 11 sees a whole new crew, including a new Captain, chartering guests on luxurious journeys through Grenada. Cat was a member of the interior team, led by Chief Steward Fraser Olender, before she decided to leave.

Though Cat has some experience with yachting, it's clear from watching Below Deck season 11 that she was way over her head. In addition to being slow and generally unable to do the job well, Cat was also emotional and had a bad attitude at times. Most frustrated with Cat was her fellow stew, Barbie Pascual, who was often stuck doing double the work to pick up the slack Cat left behind. Did Cat return to yachting since leaving Below Deck , or did she move on from the yachting industry?

Cat baugh seems to still be in the yachting industry.

On March 19, Cat posted a photo to Instagram of her and Kyle Stilles from Below Deck season 11, in uniform, hanging out on the deck of a yacht. The uniforms suggest that she may be back at work. Cat left Below Deck season 11 after receiving a call from a distressed friend.

After the call, Cat spoke to Fraser about feeling like she never really fit in with the rest of the crew. She then spoke to Captain Kerry, who recognized she needed to go home to focus on her mental health. After the conversation, Cat packed up her things and left St. David for good.

Cat Baugh Is In A Relationship

She's not sailing solo anymore.

In February, Cat posted a couple of photos of herself and an unnamed man cuddled up together at the front of a boat . The caption under the post read, " This Human ." In one of the photos, Cat is turned towards the camera, and beaming, clearly happy to be in her man's arms. Below Deck fans rushed to the comment section to give their approval. " You’re so beautiful inside and out mija," one person wrote, while another said, " You are my favourite person on this season of Below Deck !!" Cat's Below Deck season 11 castmates didn't like her as much as some of the show's fans seem to.

"She's having a hard time seeing herself where she's at. But she said she's in a pretty good headspace. And I've shown her support — I say, look, if you need someone to talk to, I'm always here."

She Keeps In Touch With Some Of Her Below Deck Season 11 Crew

On speaking terms.

Since leaving the show and the yacht, Cat has stayed in touch with at least one member of the Below Deck season 11 crew. During an interview with Entertainment Weekly , Below Deck season 11's Captain Kerry revealed that he had stayed in touch with Cat after her departure from the show and gave an update on Cat's mental health . " She's having a hard time seeing herself where she's at. But she said she's in a pretty good headspace ," The Captain said. " And I've shown her support — I say, look, if you need someone to talk to, I'm always here. "

Will Cat Baugh Ever Return To The Below Deck Franchise?

Never say never.

Cat may not have been the best stew to work a Below Deck charter, but there's always a chance she'll get more experience and return better equipped to do the job well. Though she struggled to get her work done, she made for entertaining television, and that's worth a lot. Regardless of what the future may bring, Cat will certainly not be returning to Below Deck any time soon.
