"As an owner of a Sweden 50, you can take pride in your boat in any waters" is the comment Sweden Yachts has put on the front page of her brochure and this statement is most certainly true for "Eclipse". "Eclipse" was the most extensively equipped and improved Sweden 50 ever when she left the yard. Since she was purchased by her present owner she was upgraded and brought in as new condition. You can inspect her right here in Ijmuiden next to our stand.

GRP sailing yacht Sweden 50, "Eclipse", built in 1992, building number 1114, built under Lloyds number HCC GOT 051074, dim.: 15,25 (lwl 12,60) x 4,35 x 2,00 m, built by Sweden Yachts, designed by Peter Norlin & Jens Ostman, GRP construction, new teak deck, teak in cockpit and on the raised superstructure roof, enlarged windows in the side of the superstructure, a total of 4 opening ports in the superstructure side and 3 in the cockpit, 2 large and 2 smaller opening deck hatches in the superstructure roof all with new plexiglass, 3 newly painted dorade boxes, round-bilged white hull with lightblue striping, displacement approx. 14.550 kg, ballast approx 6.000 kg in a shallow draft wing keel, fuel capacity approx 500 liters in 2x 250 liter stainless steel fuel tanks each with its own fuel level meter, water capacity approx 700 liter in 3 stainless steel water tanks each with its own water level meter, 1x 100 liter stainless steel grey water tank for foreward shower and galley sink, 1x 70 liter stainless steel black water tank for the foreward toilet, 1x 100 liter vacuum grey water tank, Solimar pedestal for the enlarged (170 cm diameter newly leather-covered steering wheel) newly painted.

Accommodation

Classic mahogany interior with navy blue leather upholstery, 3 cabins each with a double and one in the saloon makes a total of 7 berths, foreward is a large shower with overhead escape hatch and steps to go to the deck, a thermostat waterfaucet and a seperate drain, directly aft of the foreward shower is a large head with port the Sealand vacuflush toilet (new seals in 2003) and above this 2 large mirrored doors lockers and to starboard a large corean worktop with integraded washbowl with 2 lockers under and 2 mirrored doors above, a 220 Volt AC socket is available for shaving, also the foreward head is equipped with its own thermostat heating controle and seperate ventilator on deck, above the Sealand toilet is the tankwatch for the black water tank, directly aft of the head is the ownerscabin with an enlarged (16 cm wider) double berth to port with convectors and drawers under and 2 double lockers with a cupboard above, a double set of Lewmar deck hatches in the deck and to starboard a large vanity table with chair, convectors for heating, 2 large double full height lockers an a mirrored door locker at the vanity table, a radio/casette-player with 2 speakers completes the ownerscabin. The large and spacious main cabin has a dinette in U-shape to port and two seats (restyled) to starboard and in the centre an open seat as cover of the centrally placed main engine, this seat also houses a large bookshelf, both to port and to starboard are several lockers and bookshelfs placed against the hull, 1 large opening Lewmar deck hatch and 4 large non opening windows provide ampel light for this spacious interior, directly behind the sofa is the galley to port and behind the seats is the navigation table, between the navigation table and the galley is the large revarnished stair leading to the main entrance, in the aft are two mirrored double cabins with large lockerspaces above the bed, each cabin has 2 opening ports one to the deck and one to the cockpit and each cabin has a large locker with vanity table in front of the bed, in between the two aft cabins is the second head with shower, corean washbowl, 2 mirrored door lockers and a manual toilet accessible from each cabin individualy, the navigation table to starboard is equipped with a large chartlocker above the electrical panel, lots of drawers and a large locker aft of the leather-coverd seat, the navigation table is placed so that the navigator is looking in the same direction as the vessels movement, to port is the large L-shaped galley equipped with a wide array of different locker spaces and cutting boards, above the stove is a Lewmar opening port as well as an sliding extractor, Panasonic microwave, the galley is equipped with a Plastimo 3-burner gas stove with oven and a remote controlled gas valve, a double stainless steel sink with water pressure system, a footpump for outside water as well as a footpump for sweet drinking water, water pressure system, a large engine-driven compressor for the Frigoboat refrigerator and freezer with 3 compartments, 110 liter coolbox, hot water via a stainless steel 50 liter boiler heated both engine and 220 Volt as well as a Webasto HBW central heating system for the convectors in each cabin and in 2 lockers.

The first Sweden Yachts 50 was launched in 1987 and was a success for the boatyard. A total of 19 yachts were built over the next 10 years. It is easy to understand why this model was so appreciated by their owners and admired by all sailors that look at her. The hull and deck are constructed of end-grain balsa core between hand-laid fiberglass rowing and mat. The result is not only a strong, stiff and light ship but also a yacht that will keep her high gloss finish for long time. This is a yacht where the yard hasn’t put aside anything when talking about quality both above and below deck.

If you are looking for the perfect bluewater cruiser, you have to take a closer look at this Sweden Yachts 50, BOOMERANG AF STOCKSUND.

This Sweden Yachts 50 is really unique. She was delivered in 1989 to her first owner. Only two years later she was sold to her current owner with whom she has stayed for 30 years. The owner has used her for family sailing every summer, mostly in the Baltic Sea and no further west than Denmark. She has been gently taken care of and updated over the years. Recently she has had her mast replaced with an electrical furling mast from Seldén and a bow thruster has been installed. She is a fast sailor and very easy to handle with a small crew, you can easily sail her shorthanded. The yacht has been stored indoors for the winter and service is professionally maintained.

Nineteen Sweden Yachts 50s were built on the magical island of Orust in Sweden between 1987 and 1996. PAPER MOON emerged from the factory in 1990, exuding 90’s glamour. Designed by Peter Norlin and Jens Ostmann, the Sweden 50 boasts timeless aesthetics and sleek lines, still captivating onlookers today.

History of Sweden Yachts 50 PAPER MOON

Her current owner bought her a couple of years ago and has kept her on the East coast of England for family cruising. Over the past two years, she has undergone extensive refitting, with almost every aspect receiving an update, while retaining her classic charm.

All the big tick items have been done including a new Yanmar 110hp engine, new flexiteak deck and standing rigging replaced. She also sports 2022 North Sails, ensuring her sailing performance is still as impressive as a modern front runner. A comprehensive list of updates is available in our Berthon sales particulars.

She has travelled far and wide in the past competing in the ARC in 2003 & 2004 and this owner has just made her ready to go again with a new custodian.

Exploring the Accommodation & Deck Equipment of Sweden Yachts 50 PAPER MOON

Below deck, she offers a spacious saloon, perfect for entertaining, with recently refreshed varnish work in 2022, giving her a shiny appearance. The saloon also features a generously sized galley and a full-sized chart table.

In keeping with Sweden Yachts’ tradition, the owner’s cabin is forward, featuring an offset berth and a large ensuite heads compartment in the bow.

Two guest cabins are located aft, sharing a central head, uniquely positioned behind the companionway, ensuring it doesn’t encroach on the saloon.

50m Westport motor yacht Neenah for sale

The 50-metre Westport motor yacht Neenah has joined the market with Andy Miles of Miles Yacht Group who originally sold her as a new-build project.

Delivered in the USA in 2020, the GRP-composite-built Westport 164 model was designed throughout by renowned British designer Donald Starkey and has naval architecture by William Garden and Taylor Olson .

Accommodation is provided in six staterooms and an elevator services all decks. The proven layout includes a main-deck master suite forward, with office and lounge areas as well as generously proportioned bathroom, boasting both a freestanding bathtub and a DuoJet side jet shower.

On the lower deck are four guest cabins comprising two twins and two doubles, while the VIP double is positioned up on the bridge deck. All doubles have king-sized beds. There are quarters for a crew of five.

Formal dining is enjoyed at a 12-seater table in the forward part of the saloon. Decoration throughout is contemporary with light-coloured fabrics and carpets complementing the glass varnish woodwork. The aft deck has both a large oval dining table with teak chairs plus a pair of oval coffee tables with lounge seating flanking them. Up on the sundeck is a sit-up bar and a Jacuzzi. Low freestanding seating below the hard top invites guests to chill out while being served cocktails.

A $50 million private island that's a 10-minute boat ride off the coast of Florida just hit the market. Take a look.

• A 7-acre private island off Florida's coast is on sale for $50 million.
• Black's Island has a private resort with 26 waterfront bungalows.
• The owner is open to selling the entire island or some of the bungalows, starting at $1.5 million.

If owning a private island is a personal dream for you, you're in luck — a 7-acre private island located just 3 miles off the coast of Florida just hit the market and could be all yours for $50 million.

Black's Island is located in Saint Joseph Bay and just south of Port St. Joe on Florida's panhandle. The island was named for Samuel "Black Sam" Bellamy, who is known as the wealthiest pirate in history.

The island hosts its own private resort, complete with 26 waterfront bungalows as well as common areas like a clubhouse, cabana, and pool, according to the sale listing. The structures are connected via an elevated boardwalk that runs along the center of the island.

Black's Island currently hosts short-term rentals with the help of a management company and full-time staff on the island, which is accessible via a 10-minute boat ride from the mainland, or by seaplane and helicopter.

From the dock on the mainland, the Panama City Beach International Airport is an hour-and-twenty-minute drive away. A smaller airport for those flying in on a private jet is only 25 minutes away.

"You're only 3 miles off the mainland, and you seriously feel like you're in the islands," Lori Bembry Weldon, one of the listing brokers at Jon Kohler & Associates, told Business Insider, adding, "It's really super cool. There's just nothing like it on the coast of Florida that's available."

If you can't quite swing the $50 million price tag, you may still have a chance to get a slice of the island life .

In addition to listing the entire island for sale, the owner has also listed several of the individual bungalows . Weldon said the owner, Atlanta developer Scott Seymour, is open to selling the entire island or just some of the bungalows — so it will ultimately depend on what potential buyers are interested in.

In this scenario, Weldon said the setup would be similar to a condo homeowners' association. The bungalows, which start at $1.5 million, would be purchased under a 99-year lease, and there would be a $25,000-a-year HOA fee to cover taxes, insurance, repairs, and utilities, including upkeep for all the common areas.

Weldon also said in the case of individual bungalow sales, pre-approved title insurance and lenders have already been set up, so potential buyers would not have to worry about getting insurance — an increasing problem in Florida .

The bungalows, which were first built in 2009, were remodeled when Seymour bought the island in 2018. Weldon said that in addition to renting out the bungalows, he also frequently spends time on the island.

Seymour is also currently building a $20 million hotel on the mainland where anyone who purchases a bungalow will be able to park. The hotel is also set to be named after the infamous pirate and will be called The Bellamy.
