THE WELLESLEY (ex Anedigmi, M Altavida) is a 56.20m (184.5ft) crewed luxury yacht, constructed by the well known Oceanco shipyard. She was built in 1993 with fabulous interiors by Donald Starkey/Dennis Irvine. She was renewed and refitted in 2016, which included a 7m extension, making her an exceptional vessel for family holidays or corporate charter, last refit was in 2021.

THE WELLESLEY features an elegant contemporary interior décor, boasting the finest in wood joinery, exquisite marbles and chic soft furnishings. On the main deck, the generous salon offers a relaxed ambience with beautiful soft furnishings. Surrounded by warms woods, panoramic windows and gloss white ceiling with soft lighting, space boasts a soothing retreat or sophisticated gathering place, ideal for any occasion. Separate and forward of the salon, the formal dining room offers a beautifully finished round table, easily seating 10 guests in style for formal dinners or special occasions.
The main deck continues forward through the foyer on the starboard side, leading to an observatory room, with a semi-circular sofa, coffee table and fabulous forward facing views.
The sky lounge on the upper deck is where the elegant, yet the minimalist theme is continued. Here guests will find the comfortable atmosphere ideal for socializing or simply retreating for a quiet moment alone. A sofa, occasional chairs, coffee table and writing desk complete the area.
THE WELLESLEY can accommodate up to 12 charter guests. The upper deck boasts the master stateroom and one twin cabin, while on the lower deck is the VIP cabin, a double cabin and one twin cabin. All guest cabins are spacious, light and offer a calm atmosphere to unwind. Attention to detail will impress even the most scrupulous eye, from the variety of woods used to compliment the spaces’ intended use and feel, to the finer fixtures and fittings to the perfectly set lighting.

Luscious teak deck space is plentiful on the tri-deck design. The main salon leads out into a shaded aft deck, with opposing ample wicker lounge seating and 2 large coffee tables. The upper deck is a great area for entertaining, featuring direct access to the sky lounge, an alfresco dining option and further lounge seating. Above, the sundeck is a main focal point for a luxurious exterior living, offering a huge Bar with a BBQ, chaise lounges, sun pads, shower and deluxe Jacuzzi tub. For water enthusiasts, steps lead centrally from the main aft deck onto a fold out swim platform, where a vast selection of water toys are stowed. For guests wishing to take a refreshing dip in the sea, a fitted swim ladder ensures effortless sea access.

Yacht Charter Accommodation
THE WELLESLEY has the following yacht charter accommodation for up to 12 guests: A master cabin on the owner’s deck with incredible views, a king size double bed and a walk-in closet. This master suite is a massive 40 square meters, not including the bathroom and walk-in closet. The nanny’s cabin is also conveniently located on this deck and also has amazing views. The nanny’s cabin has twin beds and ensuite bathroom. The remaining cabins are located on the lower deck and include a 30 sq m full width of the beam VIP Cabin with king size double bed, a huge walk-in closet and a huge bathroom en suite including hot top and separate shower and a separate toilette room. There is a Queens size cabin the Starboard with a double bed and bath ensuite and a Twin cabin to Port with ensuite bathroom.

She showcases an upper deck master suite with rich mahogany, leather paneling, bronze detailing, and sensational views from floor-to-ceiling windows. The charter yacht also features a convertible twin stateroom on the upper deck. On the main deck is an impressive main deck VIP stateroom. Located on the lower deck is a second master stateroom, a queen-bed stateroom and a convertible twin-bed stateroom.
For charter guests who wish to keep their workout routines while aboard, THE WELLESLEY is equipped with an array of exercise equipment.
The superyacht offers the best of the alfresco lifestyle with three decks that offer expansive alfresco living areas. On THE WELLESLEY’s sundeck, charter guests can enjoy the Jacuzzi with a cascading waterfall and sunbathe on the sprawling sunpads while taking in the views. Additionally, when the sun sets, a movie can be enjoyed under the stars. ‘’The Wellesley’ is a 184.38ft /56.2m motor yacht, custom built by Oceanco in 1993, and last refitted in 2016. The vessel was previously named Anedigmi, and her luxurious interior is designed by Donald Starkey. Her smart exterior styling is by Gerhard Gilgenast.
The Wellesley’s impressive interior layout sleeps up to 12 guests in 6 rooms, including a master suite, 1 VIP stateroom, 3 triple cabins and 2 Pullman beds.
She is easily capable of carrying up to 12 crew members onboard to ensure you enjoy the most luxurious sailing experience, and you can’t help but be impressed by the stylish and elegant furnishings and finish.
She is built with a steel hull and GRP superstructure, and has a cruising speed of 14 knots, a maximum speed of 16 knots and a range of 4,500nm from 112,793litre fuel tanks, she is the perfect combination of performance and luxury.
A Jacuzzi on deck, and fully equipped gym adds further to the amenities on this superyacht, and it’s not hard to see why she is a clear favorite.
The impressive vessel has a modern stabilization system to reduce roll motion even during rough seas, and the yacht also has ‘at anchor stabilizers’ to keep things smooth even at anchor/zero speed.
While on board you’ll find a great Wi-Fi connection, so you can check emails or update social media. Air conditioning keeps conditions comfortable throughout the cabins.

Khalid Affara knew what he was doing when it came to the complex undertaking that was the year-long refit of The Wellesley. British property mogul and Managing Director of Arab Investments which owns Mayfair’s 11 Berkeley Street, the Mall of Berlin and Coffee Republic, Affara learned from valuable experience gained during the refit of his brand’s first 32 metre yacht. Purchasing the larger Oceanco yacht a couple of years later in 2015, Affara wasted no time in overseeing the entire refit process. With a complete reimagining of her interior design and significant extension of usable guest areas on board, her new owner had one goal in mind: to create the perfect, boutique charter yacht.
Pursuit of Perfection
Travelling to Sunrise Yachts’ facility in Turkey for days at a time in the pursuit of perfection, no detail of the refit was too small for Affara’s attention. From the smart layouts of the en suite bathrooms in each luxurious guest cabin to the extension of the yacht’s LOA by an impressive 6.4 metres, The Wellesley’s owner took a hands-on approach to her creation to guarantee the very best.
Mr Affara’s dedication to the extensive refit of the yacht was not just to ensure the efficient building of the perfect charter yacht, however. Since Affara began chartering yachts over five years ago, yacht charters on board The Wellesley have been part of a broader business strategy for The Wellesley brand. As such, this project was business, not (entirely) pleasure. Guests to The Wellesley find themselves immersed in a luxurious setting from a forgotten age. The hotel is a gorgeous ode to the Roaring 20s and the pleasures of fine excess. Hermès toiletries line the marble bathrooms, while a shining fleet of chauffered Rolls Royce cars awaits out front to transport guests around London in style. Throw in an art-deco style restaurant, chic cocktail bar with prohibition era drinks, all topped off with a magnificent cigar bar complete with one of the largest humidors in Europe, and you are officially welcomed to the world of The Wellesley.

With several years of charter experience under his belt, Affara recognised the importance of building a yacht that has been designed with charter guests in mind every step of the way. While indeed emanating the same 1920s style and sophistication as the London hotel, The Wellesley yacht absolutely holds her own as a unique yacht charter experience.
Inside The Wellesley
The well-known yacht designer Donald Starkey originally designed the Wellesley's interior. True to the design theme of her on-shore counterpart, The Wellesley yacht is a delicious exploration of 1920s styling. From the linen in the guest cabins to the Arabescato Corchia marble and Hermès amenities in the bathrooms, the continuation of The Wellesley brand is perfect.
Accommodating up to 12 guests, The Wellesley’s six en suite cabins include a large Owner’s Suite with panoramic ocean vistas; a Master Suite; two doubles and two convertible cabins, one with additional sofa bed.
The Wellesley mirrors the hotel with some unique features, including a bespoke humidor. The yacht offers a selection of the world’s finest cigars, including Montecristos, Cohibas and limited edition Bolivars. A unique feature on a luxury charter yacht, guests can enjoy their choice of exclusive cigars in the club lounge or on the connecting outdoor smoking deck.
Under her owner’s watchful eye, it’s evident that The Wellesley is a yacht that has been designed not for personal pleasure, but specifically around the perfect charter. Her substantial extension of 6-metres has been put to good use, with more than 40 square metres of outdoor space spread over three decks. The main deck aft is particularly large, and designed with entertaining in mind. The area includes ample dining space for fine-dining under the stars - always a highlight of any stay on board.
For those looking to get out on the water, The Wellesley comes fully equipped with a wealth of tenders and toys. A 10-metre chase boat and 4.5-metre sea tender allow guests to explore hidden spots along the coastline as well as get to and from shore - safe, dry and in style. A treasure chest of water toys for all ages is hidden in the Beach Club, with two Seabobs, two wave runners, one standup jet ski, inflatable tubes for towing behind the tender, SUP boards, fishing gear and a range of snorkelling gear.
In terms of her technical features, The Wellesley is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, has a volume of 646GT, a draft of 3.1-metres (10’2”) and a beam of 9.1-metres (21’10”). She is powered by twin MTU diesel engines, which deliver a maximum speed of 16 knots, and an impressive range of 4,500 nm at 13 knots.
