All the cabins are ensuite, airconditioned and you can feel the full-width master stateroom is a tranquil haven.  Charter Jalun  for all occasions and events. It’s easier than you think and twice as satisfying as you imagine to just step off the busy world and onto a 20-metre luxury charter boat adventure round The Whitsundays.

While JALUN is incredible, and a charter boat is the perfect way to see the best of The Whitsundays, it’s the crew and the catering and the company that really sets this luxury experience apart. Our Reservations Manager Clare Rushby recently spent 3 days onboard JALUN, and she came back all smiles!

You can fly direct from Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne to Hamilton Island, where Jalun and its crew – Marcel and Alfie – will be waiting for you at Hamilton Marina with champagne on arrival.

If the wind and the weather are right, you can push off for a leisurely afternoon of cruising to Whitehaven Beach, the pearl of Whitsundays’ beaches. Slip into the azure sea and swim ashore for a long walk along this famous beach – an unforgettable joy. Or grab a paddleboard and prepare to be amazed.

One of the beauties of charter sailing is the freedom of choice you have. Waking up to the peaceful nature of Whitehaven Beach long before the daytrippers arrive is indeed a luxury, so you may want to weigh anchor for the night.

A definite highlight of life onboard Jalun is the delightful fresh-produce catering. If you love seafood you can be sitting down to oysters, prawns, bugs, or salmon. The yacht’s cold press is put to work in the mornings serving amazing fresh juices. Wines are hand selected to match the evening meal and the cocktails are delicious!

Back to the unfolding days, Tongue Bay is a popular stopover for the Hill Inlet walk up to the lookout, a great opportunity to stretch your legs and the views! It’s not uncommon to see stingrays and turtles here. You might even pop over to Chalkies Beach to snorkel – an activity everyone can enjoy and The Whitsundays is famous for.

Part of the daily adventure is finding a protected bay to spend the night. If you’re lucky to sail into Cid Harbour you can enjoy the sparkling lights on the other side of the Bay as well as the stargazing. Mornings often begin with the option of kayaking to the beach, walking through the bush or just relaxing on the sand.

From a pizza oven, to yoga and gym equipment, to a water maker – hot showers for as long as you like. You can be active or just lounge around and read or sunbake. Everyone is well catered for and well cared for. Marcel and Alfie really make this charter and Clare says she’s returning to Jalun with the whole family next time.

The luxury sailing yacht JALUN is a private yacht and is not available to charter.

JALUN was built by Suncoast and delivered to her owner in 2006, she later underwent a refit in 2016.

JALUN can accommodate 8 guests in 4 cabins consisting of a primary suite with a king size bed and en-suite bathroom facilities, a VIP suite with a queen size bed and en-suite bathroom facilities and 2 cabins with a double bed and en-suite bathroom facilities.

Amenities on board include Air Conditioning, BBQ, Jacuzzi on deck, Swim platform and Wi-Fi.

Born in Tasmania, Damien is the son of a master shipwright. It was natural that he followed in his father’s footsteps by completing his boat building apprenticeship whilst mastering his sailing skills and competing in two Rolex Sydney to Hobart yacht races. Later he then moved to Queensland and worked up the charter boat ladder, firstly as a maintenance manager for Ozsail before completing his formal qualifications as a Master 5, MED 1 and diesel fitter. He has lived in the Whitsundays for over 8 years and worked as an engineer on the 130foot Delisle III and as a captain on the 74 foot Voyager 4. Along with numerous appointments as a delivery captain, his skills have been honed to show the guests the best that the Whitsundays has to offer. Damien is a young professional with a easy going nature, a hands on skipper who will teach you to sail or drive the tender 20 miles to ensure you have a morning paper if desired.

Marcel was born in New Zealand but at a young age moved to sunny Queensland, Australia. After university, and with a sense of adventure and a love for the ocean, he sailed the East coast before starting his five star hospitality training at the exclusive Hayman Island resort. After his extensive experience at the exuberant hotel, he then spent three months on a culinary tour throughout Japan before arriving in the USA. He then worked as a private chef for a wealthy gentleman in Aspen, CO for two years, after which returning to Australia and opening a chain of restaurants. Backed with years of experience in the culinary upper space, his influence is sourcing the freshest produce and providing a gastronomic delight at every opportunity. Marcel can accompany you PADI scuba diving, is a keen spear-fisherman, will teach you to paddle-board and completed his Master 24 skipper’s ticket last year.

Born in Australia, Madison grew up in a small coastal town before falling in love with the ocean life. She completed her Certificate III in hospitality and silver service and gained valuable experience working in five star hotel environments. Transitioning to yachts she spent three busy years working for a private yacht. Her experience has given her strong organisational and multi-tasking skills and her friendly and outgoing personality brings a warm homely vibe to the charter. Along with an uncanny ability to choose the best playlist for the day, her skills as a trained masseuse will have everyone’s stress levels whittle away especially after a couple of sundowners.

The 65-foot (20m) catamaran JALUN allows charter guests to explore the wonders of the idyllic Whitsundays and famous Great Barrier Reef in comfort and luxury.
