Croatia Specialist

Charter company Ultra Sailing was founded in 1995 in Split, Croatia. Today it has a fleet of over 60 boats and 35 employees, united by a passion for the sea and sailing. Charter boats can be hired along the entire Croatian Adriatic coast from Pula in the north (ACI Marina Pomer) through the central area of Split (ACI Marina Split and Trogir) to Dubrovnik (ACI Marina Dubrovnik) in the south of the country.

A meticulously maintained fleet

Ultra Sailing's fleet consists of 60 models of Beneteau sailboats of various sizes (from 30–60 feet) and Fountaine Pajot catamarans (from 3-cabin to 6-cabin), whose level will satisfy even the most demanding clients . The fleet is in excellent condition, regularly maintained and equipped for maximum comfort.

It is possible to sail even without a captain's license

In addition to regular charters, Ultra Sailing also offers sailboat and catamaran charters with a professional skipper , which you will appreciate if you are not the owner of a skipper's license. The captain or even the crew will take care of the sailing and navigation, and you can just enjoy your holiday at sea on your own terms.

Aerial View of a City and Island Croatia

Croatia is one of the most beautiful destinations in the Mediterranean. Its coastline reveals a world of natural wonders above and below the waterline, with over 1,200 islands along its length, each revealing a subtly different character. Inland, you will find stunning verdant landscapes with spectacular waterfalls. The Plitvice National Park is one of the most beautiful nature reserves in the world.

The country has a rich history with ancient ruins, historic buildings and castles. There is an eclectic mix of Roman, Greek, Slavic, Venetian and Austro-Hungarian influences that inform the architecture and culture. To put all that in perspective, Croatia boasts ten UNESCO-listed sites, from the cities of Split and Dubrovnik to the Plitvice National Park and the primaeval Carpathian beech forests. Zadar and Dubrovnik are known for their beautiful, historic city centres, which are well worth a visit. Discover the Byzantine art and architecture of the Euphrasian Basilica in the historic centre of Poreč or the best-preserved Roman palace in the world, in Split.

The islands are a nature lover’s paradise – the most popular with visitors are Plavnik, Susac and Kornati. Losinj is a great spot for dolphin spotting. There are some incredible beaches to relax on – most are pebbled and very beautiful. One of the best-known is Zlatni Rat – or the Golden Cape, so-called because the end of the beach is always changing thanks to the effects of the wind and sea.

The Ancient Greeks were the first to cultivate vines on the islands of Dalmatia. Two thousand years later, Croatian wine is still produced and there are plenty of varieties to taste and enjoy. As you would expect, fresh seafood is the order of the day, with the freshest fish, oysters, and octopus (a local delicacy) straight from the clear waters of the Adriatic.

As a charter destination, there are thousands of opportunities to drop anchor and enjoy the breathtaking scenery and secluded bays. Or stopover at the many ports and resorts, where you can find excellent restaurants and bars to try the local cuisine before taking in the sights.

In the Adriatic, you can see dolphins, sharks (even great whites on occasion), seahorses and turtles, along with schools of barracuda, grouper, tuna, rays and pods of dolphins.

If you enjoy exploring wrecks, Oyster Charter will coordinate the perfect dive with a local dive company. 7 DAYS - Itinerary 1

Suggested sailing itinerary: dubrovnik – trogir.

7 DAYS Dubrovnik – Trogir

The 7-day sailing route that includes islands Šipan, Mljet, Korčula, Lastovo, Vis & Hvar

Dubrovnik – Šipanska Luka (Island of Šipan) (15 NM), Swimming at Lopud Šipanska Luka: Here you will experience the first glimpse (and taste!) of the Croatian coast. The Island of Šipan offers a broad range of gastronomy offers, as well as a lush nature of the largest of the Elaphiti Islands. We recommend visiting one of the traditional restaurants (konoba) and taking a walk in island’s rich vegetation (palm trees, olives, figs, fruits).

Polače: Being a part of the Mljet National Park (northern Island of Mljet), Polače offers a great variety of fish to taste, sports to play and sites to see. After enjoying the beautiful azure sea and a secluded sandy beach, you can go on exploring the Mljet National Park's two saltwater lakes, Large and Small Lake (Veliko i Malo jezero). It is a nice long walk (the lakes stretch for more than 4 km) during which you can also visit a former medieval Benedictine monastery on an islet Melita (Sveta Marija) situated in the middle of the Large Lake.

Korčula (Korkyra): A charming ancient town on the east side of the island of the same name. You will be amazed by the medieval architecture and other attractions Korčula has to offer: traditional restaurants showing off the Croatian cuisine, rich nightlife by the beautiful sea. It is a perfect combination of something old and something new.

Skrivena Luka: A well-known village by the locals, but not a common tourist spot – that would be the definition of this small secluded bay (thus the name, Hidden Harbour) on the southern side of the Island of Lastovo, known by the locals as Portorus. It is famous for its lighthouse Struga, the oldest one in Croatia, as well as for diverse contents (from gastronomy to accommodation). The nature is intact and gives you a great image of Mediterranean atmosphere.

Island of Vis: Being a perfect blend of local lifestyle and tourist atmosphere, the Island of Vis will not disappoint you! You can enjoy the local architecture (Stiniva, St George’s fortress) and gastronomy, as well as many other activities such as sports or summer events, and all that being situated in a beautiful nature and easy-going atmosphere. Vis is one among many great sailor spots. Close to the Island of Vis is located the Island of Biševo, which holds the Blue Cave (Modra špilja) that we certainly recommend visiting. Cove Stončica is the place ideal for swimming.

Hvar: The inevitable stop in your Croatian adventure is the sunniest island in the Adriatic and its main town of the same name. The island bathes in one of the clearest parts of Adriatic and offers a stunning view from the waterfront, both towards the sea and the old town (Hvar fortress). Apart from the charm this town has and its nightlife, you can find many secluded beaches and rocky coves on the island. Paklinski otovi (Hell Islands) nearby Hvar are recommended to spend the day at the beach.

Trogir: In Trogir, a member of the UNESCO’s World Heritage list, you will experience a mix of local traditions and tourist attractions. It offers a tranquil day life and rich nightlife, all wrapped in its beautiful medieval architecture and a more easy-going rhythm. During the day, you can explore different parts of Trogir and the Island of Čiovo, with which it is connected by bridges. During the night, you can enjoy the vivid atmosphere in many restaurants and bars.

7 DAYS - Itinerary 2

Suggested sailing itinerary: trogir – dubrovnik.

7 DAYS Trogir – Dubrovnik

Maslinica: Surrounded by beautiful nature, traditional stone architecture and crystal-clear sea, Maslinica is the place to be. Not only will you relax on the secluded beaches by the woods, but you will also have a chance to have a more active vacation. Maslinica is the only port on the west side of the Island of Šolta, but it still kept its local way of life and a tranquil atmosphere. As it offers clear and calm waters, it is a great location for yachtsmen.

Pasadur: Moving from the southern to the western side of the Island of Lastovo, you will come across this small village. There are three beaches nearby and a possibility of accommodation. As for the anchoring and taking a break from sailing, we recommend Jurijeva Luka located a bit more to the west.

Dubrovnik: A city that needs little introduction. Known as the “jewel of Mediterranean”, it offers its visitors rich and diverse contents. You can explore the unique city architecture (city walls, Stradun, palaces), as well as the stunning nature around it (Mt. Srđ). You can also enjoy in the finest Croatian cuisine and vivid nightlife. As Dubrovnik is one of the main tourist attractions, it is well connected to major European cities.

7 DAYS - Itinerary 3

Suggested sailing itinerary: dubrovnik - dubrovnik.

7 DAYS Dubrovnik - Dubrovnik

The 7-day sailing route that includes islands Šipan, Mljet, Korčula & Lastovo.

Dubrovnik – ACI Marina: Only 6km away from Dubrovnik's city centre lies a stunning, well rewarded marina, surrounded with crystal clear blue sea. As it is one of the most beautiful marinas on the Adriatic and a long-time winner of the Blue Flag and “the best marina in the Adriatic” title, it is certainly a promising invitation to explore the Croatian southern coast.

Šipanska Luka: Here you will experience the first glimpse (and taste!) of the Croatian coast.

Skrivena Luka (Hidden Harbour): A well-known village by the locals, but not a common tourist spot – that would be the definition of this small bay on the southern side of the Island of Lastovo, known by the locals as Portorus. It is famous for its lighthouse Struga, the oldest one in Croatia, as well as for diverse contents (from gastronomy to accommodation).

Okuklje: A perfect way to bring this great journey to an end is to visit Okuklje, a popular tourist site on the northern part of the Island of Mljet. There you can find numerous accommodation offers, as well as local places to visit such as restaurants and cafes. Enjoying in the calm and relaxing Adriatic Sea is well advised, since Okuklje offers a popular anchorage, swimming and hiking spots.

Island of Mljet – Dubrovnik

7 DAYS - Itinerary 4

Suggested sailing itinerary: dubrovnik - montenegro - dubrovnik.

7 DAYS Dubrovnik - Montenegro - Dubrovnik

Another inevitable destination for sailing enthusiasts is a small mountainous country on the southwestern coast of the Adriatic Sea. Its sailing spots include: the Bay of Kotor, Herceg Novi, Tivat-Porto Montenegro, Budva and Sveti Stefan.

The Montenegrin coast gives you a different, but equally astonishing sailing experience. It is rockier than the Croatian coastline, but still offers you more than 73km of beautiful beaches and countless coves. Steep mountains and strong wind can pose difficulties for anchorage. Nevertheless, there are many great safe anchorage spots along the Montenegrin coastline. Keep in mind that Navigare Yachting does not charge you for the permit for international waters on this sailing route.

The sailing route begins at Dubrovnik’s ACI Marina, Navigare Yachting’s base. From there, the route continues towards Cavtat, a small ancient town located on the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea. It will mesmerise you with a combination of beautiful nature and tourist contents. Cavtat bathes in mild climate, pine forests and beautiful beaches. Along the coast of the Tiha bay, you can find numerous recreational and sport facilities, as well as restaurants with traditional Mediterranean cuisine. There, you can also take a nice long walk and explore the city’s sights. As for the sailing part, the southwestern part of Cavtat’s harbour and the Tiha Bay are well adapted for anchorage, although often crowdy. In case of strong wind, we advise you to anchor at Srebreno, three miles north-northeast, since it offers a better shelter.

Our next stop is Herceg Novi, a medieval town only 4 NM north from the entrance of the Gulf of Kotor. You can experience its medieval roots by visiting the citadel overlooking the city and three other fortresses: Kanli Kula (Turkey), Spaniola (Spanish), Venetian Citadel. The town itself is rich in narrow streets and stairs, vegetation and tourist attractions, best of which are accessible only by boat. The town’s harbour offers numerous berths for yachts up to 25m and one of the clearest sea spots in the eastern Adriatic. Anchoring is allowed west and east from the harbour: Meljine beach and port of Zelenika (which is also a border crossing passage, where you can solve all entrance-exit procedures).

We continue sailing to one of the most beautiful coasts in the world, the Budva Riviera, located 25 NM southeast of the exit of the Gulf of Kotor. It is a very pleasant sailing route and scenery that contains a 21km long coast and 17 sandy beaches, which replace a usually steep Montenegrin coastline. The centre of the Budva Riviera and the tourism in Montenegro is the town of Budva. It offers a great variety of beaches, hotels, clubs, and other tourist attractions, all enveloped in beautiful nature and history. While in Budva, we recommend visiting Sveti Stefan, a nearby fortified island connected to the mainland that gives you a wonderful view of pink-sand beaches and turquoise sea. The anchorage spot depends on the wind. There are several nearby places suitable for anchorage like Žanjice beach (5 NM from Herceg Novi), Mirišta (6 NM from Herceg Novi), but, depending on the weather, we recommend the Jaz beach (closer to Budva), cape Zavala (in case of south winds), and St Nicolas Island (in case of north winds).

Another inevitable stop is a small ancient fishing village guarder by a bay, rocky beaches and crystal clear sea – Bigovo (also: Bigova). It is a great holiday destination whether you are alone or in a group, as it offers a mild climate, plenty of sunny and dry days, and various sport and leisure activities. You can choose your perfect swimming spot from various rocky beaches. The anchorages we recommend are Dobra Luka (42 22 02.58 N 18 38 18.32 E) and Oblatna (42 22 51.95 N 18 39 21.78 E).

Kotor is truly a jewel of the Montenegrin coast, located in the Bay of Kotor, at the bottom of the Gulf of Kotor. It contains rich history, amazing nature, and numerous tourist attractions, all of which was recognised by UNESCO (World Heritage Site) and The Lonely Planet (No. 1 Best in Travel City in 2016). It is no wonder that the Bay of Kotor is placed among the ten most beautiful bays in the world, as it is guarded by high mountain peaks and filled with traditional architecture (especially in the Old Town). Recommended anchorage spots are: Port of Risan, Prčanj (western coast of the Bay of Kotor), Dobrota (eastern coast of the Bay of Kotor), northwestern part of the port of Kotor.

Moving from the Bay of Kotor to another breathtaking Montenegrin bay, the Boka Kotorska bay. In the centre of the bay lies an attractive young town of Tivat. It has two ports: marina Kaliman (natural) and Porto Montenegro (built). The latter one is well known for its luxurious architecture and yachts, as it is one of the fanciest marinas on the Adriatic. It is also known for its very affordable prices both in local tourist offers’ and in diesel supplies. There is no tax and the fuel is duty free, which makes it a good refill spot.

After spending some time in Tivat and getting ready for the return journey, head back to Dubrovnik and Navigare Yachting’s base in ACI Marina. There the sailing route ends, but it does not stop you from exploring the town of Dubrovnik some more.

7 DAYS - Itinerary 5

Suggested sailing itinerary: trogir to trogir route 1.

7 DAYS Trogir to Trogir

The 7-day sailing route that includes islands Brač, Hvar, Vis and Šolta.

Trogir (Tragurium): If the idea of sipping your first-morning coffee by the beautiful Croatian sea sounds pleasant to you, Trogir is the place to be! Dating all the way back to ancient times and taking part in the UNESCO World Heritage, you will enjoy its numerous famous sights which reflect Trogir's long history and urban tradition, such as the Cathedral of St Lawrence, the Church of St Nicholas, Kamerlengo fortress, Ćipiko, Town Hall and the town gate. After getting to know Trogir's unique beauty, you can get a taste of Croatian gastronomy at local restaurants. The town does not go to sleep in the evening either, as you can visit many of the city's bars to get a glimpse of summer nights in Croatia.

Milna: To continue your vacation more actively, we suggest visiting Milna, the untouched jewel on the west coast of the Island of Brač. There you will find an untouched natural bay dating all the way back to Diocletian, surrounded by nice long sand and pebble beaches stretching nearby (Pasika, Osibova, Lučice, Maslinova, cove of Vlaška). Various sports and recreational contents are offered, including numerous sports playgrounds and sea-related activities (scuba-diving, surfing, swimming).

Stari Grad: Experience some more of the wonderful Croatian coast by surrounding yourself with its breathtaking nature. One of the must-see places is Stari Grad on the northern coast of the Island of Hvar. It is a perfect combination of the native way of life (vineyards, olives, forests) and a modern tourist spot. Many visitors come here to combine various aspects of the vacation: experiencing local gastronomy offer, sports and recreational activities, as well as beaches suitable for everyone's preferences (rocky, concrete, pebble). There is also a rich cultural programme, especially during summer: concerts, recitals and shows such as Stari Grad Summer Festival are not to be missed!

Palmižana: We continue our journey in the same tone: lots of nature and possibilities. Palmižana is a lagoon bathing in crystal-clear sea belonging to Paklenski (also known as Pakleni) Otoci, the oldest and most famous resort and nautical marina of the Island of Hvar. It is most famous for its untouched nature, since any land traffic is absent and the location itself was very well kept and preserved as a cultural tourism spot (especially by the Meneghello family). You can either rest and breathe in the nature around you on one of the sandy beaches, or you can go on exploring the island by its extensive footpaths. It is a great location those of you who wish to relax, whether you are alone, with your significant other, or with a group of friends or family.

Paklinski Otoci: If you are not already amazed by the Croatian Rivera, Pakleni Otoci will do the trick! Not only does this chain of small isles carry a very interesting name (Hell’s Islands), but it is abundant in forests, beaches and lagoons intercepted by the azure Adriatic Sea. No wonder it is considered to be the prettiest part of Hvar’s (and even Croatian!) Riviera. Here you can take a break from the usual tourist centres and enjoy a nice quiet time in the isles’ hidden treasures. There are also a couple of tourist resorts (Jerolim, Stipanska, Palmižana, Vlaška), ensuring you a rich variety of activities once your energy is refilled.

The city of Hvar: The inevitable jewel of the Croatian Riviera and Dalmatian islands, with most sunny hours of all the islands in the Adriatic. It encompasses all the best of the Croatian coast: gentle climate, autochthon architecture and unforgettable scenery. Many people recognise that, so the island is often swarmed with guests. If this alone is not enough, there are various tourist offers ready to fill your stay: traditional restaurants, sightseeing, and nightlife. It is certainly not a bad idea to visit other places on the Island of Hvar, best known for its beauty and its long tradition in organised tourism.

Uvala Stončica: Located on the east side of the Island of Vis, Stončica presents itself as a perfect place to relax. A well-known combination of Mediterranean vegetation (tamarisk, reeds) and clear sea offers a timeless experience. You will enjoy carefree hours spent in a tropical-like sea with a very slight decrease in depth, after which you can replenish in a nearby restaurant. This location is very family-friendly, as it is suitable for those of you who seek a more active vacation (there is a great beach volleyball playground close to the sea).

The town of Vis: Englobing the local culture and way of life with modern-day lifestyle, Vis is a unique experience you cannot miss. It is located on the northeast of the Island of Vis, and apart from the famous Croatian sea and mild climate, it is well known by its protected submarine world. It offers both a vivid waterfront and hidden beaches awaiting to be discovered. The architecture (church Gospa od Spilica) will not disappoint you either. More and more people recognise the beauty of the town of Vis, why shouldn’t you get a chance too?

Komiža: Joining the Island of Hvar in its mild climate, Komiža is a perfect example of a small, but very charming Mediterranean town, even during the winter period. It is guarded by Mt. Hum, overlooking beautiful pebble beaches and an open port. The island’s springs weave their way to the sea through Komiža, such as Gusarica, Nova Pošta, Velo Žalo. You will enjoy a mostly stone-build architecture bathed in the warm sun. Thanks to the location, Komiža is also known for its wide selection of fish: here you can taste excellent quality fish and large crabs, which will certainly enrich your gastronomic experience.

Budikovac: A beautiful lagoon and a small bay surround the Island of Budikovac (Budihovac for the locals), located opposite the Island of Vis. You can get there by sailing between the Island of Mali Budikovac and the one of Budikovac, keeping your path closer to the former one due to shifting sea levels. Budikovac presents a great anchorage spot, so it is a very desirable location for all the yachtsmen. You will be delighted to spend some time there swimming and enjoying the view in a protected bay.

Maslinica: As the name suggests, the main thing for which this location is famous is olive growing (maslina). It is a calm place on the Island of Šolta intercepted with bays and pebble beaches (such as Tepli bok, Soskova, Poganica, Vela Luka), but also not so far away from the main tourist attractions (Hvar, Korčula, Vis, Split, Makarska, Dubrovnik). The town still keeps its renowned fishing tradition, which you can still encounter in many local, traditional restaurants.

Modra špilja (Blue Cave): On the east side of the Island of Biševo, in the central Dalmatian archipelago, you will find another jewel of the Croatian coastline: a sea cave. It is marvellous to see the cave change colours and turn into a blue sapphire due to the blue light. Depending on the season, the ideal moment to witness that is between 11 am and 12 pm. If you want to see the nature’s light show, you have to be here!

Krknjaši beach: A perfect place to stop by on your way back to Trogir is this well-known beach located in the southeast part of the Island of Drvenik Veli. It consists of a beautiful protected bay guarded by the Isles of big and small Krknjaš. It is great for swimming and enjoying the last moments on the wonderful Croatian coast. Even though the island itself does not have any facilities, the location is still very popular among yachtsmen and people who want to savour the last bits of Croatian Mediterranean cuisine.

7 DAYS - Itinerary 6

Suggested sailing itinerary: trogir to trogir route 2.

The 7-day sailing route that includes islands Brač, Hvar, Korčula and Mljet.

Paklinski Otoci: If you are not already amazed by the Croatian Rivera, Paklinski (Pakleni) Otoci will do the trick!

Korčula (Korkyra): Situated in the Pelješac Channel, this town and island of the same name will allow you to enjoy a moderate climate and a beautiful Mediterranean nature while exploring their rich history and ancient architecture, from cobbled streets to crystal clear sea. The birthplace of Marco Polo has a very well developed tourism as it is one of the most popular islands to visit on the Croatian coast.

Island of Šćedro: Another island full of history, but much smaller in size is the Island of Šćedro, located along the southern part of the Island of Hvar. Thanks to its untouched nature and secluded beaches and coves surrounded by crystal-clear sea, the island is protected as a nature park. We could also call it a “history park” since there were found many historical discoveries both on the land (abandoned village Nastane) and in the sea. Šćedro offers a good anchorage spot, so there will be no problem for you to spend a relaxing time here without any disturbance.

Pomena: A small historical village on the western coast of the Island of Mljet turned into a tourist place. Pomena offers a harbour, accommodation, and other tourist-oriented contents: fishing, swimming, restaurants, bars, shops. The Mljet National Park and its Malo Jezero (Small Lake) are in the area nearby. The bay of Pomena is a safe anchorage spot thanks to an Islet of Pomestak which shelters it.

Mljet National Park: This is an inevitable stop on your journey. The Island of Mljet will amaze you by its stunning dense nature, pleasant climate and the beautiful Adriatic Sea. You will surely find numerous unforgettable landscapes in this national park, the most famous being the Big and the Small Lake, Veliko i malo jezero. No wonder why many consider it one of the most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean.

Zaklopatica: Island of Lastovo and one of its northern bays, Zaklopatica, is followed by the same moderate, pleasant climate as the surrounding islands. Although somewhat secluded, it is still pretty close to the inland city Lastovo and the ferry port Ubli. Zaklopatica gives you a chance to enjoy the sea under plenty of sunshine, with a couple of local, Mediterranean cuisine restaurants nearby.

Vela Luka: Located on the western side of the Island of Korčula, Vela Luka is one of the main tourist destinations placed in a historical setting surrounded by beautiful Mediterranean vegetation (olives, figs, pine forests) and the deep blue sea. You can relax and take it easy in the beautiful nature or you can go on exploring many of the nearby coves. As it is a popular tourist destination, Vela Luka offers a wide range of gastronomic, sport and leisure options. It also has a rich cultural offer, such as Vela Spila cave and the Cultural Centre.

Bobovišće: Perfect for tranquil and relaxing as much as for a more active holiday, the bay of Bobovišće on the western coast of the Island of Brač is a must-stop. It is well connected with mainland towns of Split and Makarska by ferry, and is close to tourist destinations of the Island of Brač. Here you can enjoy sport and recreation, local way of life in an easy-going atmosphere, and swimming spots in the beautiful nature.

7 DAYS - Itinerary 7

Suggested sailing itinerary: trogir to trogir route 3.

The 7-day sailing route that includes islands Drvenik Veli, Piškera, Krka National Park, Kornati National Park, towns Vodice, Rogoznica & Skradin.

Drvenik Veli: For the next stop at your journey, we recommend visiting the Island of Drvenik Veli, located on the northwest of the Island of Šolta. It is a great chance to experience the everyday life of the locals which mainly revolves around the island’s beautiful nature and surrounding sea. As for the sightseeing, you can visit the church of St Juraj. Since the coast of the island is indented, it gives you the opportunity to explore its secluded coves, sand and pebble beaches, as well as its bays. You will experience a more intimate atmosphere at the Island of Drvenik Veli, but it still offers some of the main tourist content: restaurants with traditional Dalmatian cuisine, shops, etc.

Krknjaši: The most beautiful beach on the Island of Drvenik Veli is the Krknjaši beach, guarded by a bay and two islands, Big and Small Krknjaš, in the southeast part of the island. The location makes it rather close to towns Trogir and Split. It is a perfect location for all the yachtsmen as it can be a safe overnight anchorage spot. It is ideal for swimming and relaxing in a peaceful surrounding, as the island itself does not carry but one traditional Mediterranean cuisine restaurant.

Primošten: You cannot miss visiting this charming, picturesque peninsula! The whole peninsula is full of traditional medieval architecture which gives it a special ambiance. The most popular landmark is the Church of Saint Juraj built in medieval ages, located on a hill overlooking the crystal-clear Adriatic Sea. Around the town you can find many coves and beaches, all of them being a very photogenic scene! Besides the beautiful nature and the town’s tradition, Primošten can offer you a rich nightlife: the largest club in Dalmatia is located there and will not disappoint you!

Skradin: You will inevitably fall for the charm of this small town. It is filled with nature’s wonders and traditional everyday life. You can experience a great, fresh gastronomic offer while listening to the traditional Dalmatian folk singing, klape. As for the landmarks, we recommend visiting the Visovac monastery and the Skradinski Buk waterfall, the point where the river Krka connects with the sea.

Zlarin: Across the town of Šibenik lies the Island of Zlarin and the town of the same name. It is well connected with the mainland by ferry and the fact that the Kornati National Park is just nearby gives Zlarin a strategic location. It is a perfect location for swimming and relaxing in a tranquil ambiance, thus it is great for families with children. You can learn about the local’s way of life, which revolves mostly around the agriculture and the sea. No cars are allowed on the island, so it is a very popular destination among yachtsmen.

Vodice: Vodice is a coastal town nearby the town of Šibenik and is settled between the Krka National Park and a wide bay. It is a popular tourist destination with a developed tourist season’s offer, so everyone will find something suitable for them. Here you can experience all the characteristics of the southern Croatian coast: nature, architecture, gastronomy, nightlife.

Krka National Park: The seventh national park in Croatia that encloses the middle-lower course of the river Krka is also located very close to the town of Šibenik. The Skradinski Buk waterfall and its seventeen cascades are its main attraction. The picturesque untouched nature will amaze you and give you a good example of Croatia’s beauty. The national park offers various scientific, cultural, educational, recreational and tourism activities.

Island of Piškera: You will enjoy your yachting experience by visiting this small inhabited island which contains a marina operated by the ACI Club. The marina is well sheltered from the wind thanks to the Island of Panitula Vela, with which Piškera shares a great fishing tradition. The Island of Piškera is a part of the Kornati Islands, so you can be sure you will witness a breathtaking scenery and crystal-clear sea.

Rogoznica: A blend of a traditional Mediterranean village with a modern tourist destination, that would be Rogoznica. It is located on a peninsula with a deep bay and rich forests, making it a great place for yachtsmen and nature lovers. It is also not very far from the town of Šibenik. During the summer, Rogoznica holds many events, the most popular ones being folk festivals (Fishermen Night, Rogoznica Night), that give you the opportunity to experience the rich nightlife and festive ambiance. The gastronomic offer will not disappoint you either, since Rogoznica is well-known for its fishing tradition.

Island of Žirje: The farthest island of the Šibenik Archipelago is the Island of Žirje. It is abundant in beautiful forests, interesting architecture and great swimming locations. The tourists are not very common here, so the atmosphere is quite intimate and it will allow you to relax and enjoy the peaceful islander ambiance under a mild climate.

Apart from the facilities, the nature will surely not disappoint you either: even though forest fires do occur during the hot summer months, the vegetation stays beautifully abundant. As for the yachtsmen, it is important to mention that Skrivena Luka is a great anchorage spot since it is harboured from strong wind and rough sea.

Komiža: Joining the Island of Hvar in its mild climate, Komiža is a perfect example of a small, but very charming Mediterranean town, even during the winter period. It is guarded by Mt. The national park offers various scientific, cultural, educational, recreational and tourism activities.

Advice for pleasant charter, part ii.

In our previous article we advised you on what to pay attention to when choosing sailing ground, period and company. When you have made those decisions, it is time to choose a boat, acquire necessary paperwork and, finally, check in.

Advice for pleasant charter, part I

Most people charter in summer. In winter, Adriatic Sea can be quite rough, so unless you are an experienced sailor looking for exciting sailing and solitude of islands in the winter, avoid winter sailing – it’s much easier in summer. In summer there are many other boats around you to help you in case you need it, the sea is calmer and the temperatures are high.

Explore and enjoy Croatia – ideas for charter

Nautical tourism certainly represents one of the most attractive forms of the overall tourism offer of the Republic of Croatia. We can rightfully say that Croatia, the land of a thousand islands and a beautiful, indented coastline, is a "haven for boaters".

Reasons for choosing Luxury yacht charter with a Crew in Croatia

Luxurious yachts equipped for comfort.

Regardless of the type of boat (sailing boat, catamaran, or motor yacht), crewed yachts tend to be larger and more luxurious than bareboat charters. They feature larger cabins, a comfortable spacious saloon, full equipment, and wide sun decks for sunbathing and relaxing. The boat itself has more equipment, not just for your personal comfort but for your leisure activities as well – tender, kayaks, stand-up paddles, snorkelling equipment, windsurfing are just some of the water toys at your disposal . Some even offer scuba diving, jet skis, or water skiing.

Dedicated Crew at Your Service

The secret of an enjoyable crewed yacht charter is the crew. They welcome you on board and take care of all your wishes during your vacation. The crew is always accommodated in a separate area, ensuring privacy, but they're also present at all times to cater to any of your needs. The number of crew members depends on the size of the boat – there's always the captain of the yacht and the hostess , but on larger boats, a chef, a deckhand, or even a guard is at your disposal.
