History of Moonen Yachts

Moonen Yachts is a prestigious Dutch shipyard with a rich history of boat manufacturing that dates back to its inception in 1963. Initially operating under the name De Ruiter, the firm specialised in the construction of rugged, seaworthy patrol vessels and commercial craft. In 1981, Rene Moonen took over the company and, leveraging his lead, transitioned into the luxury yacht market, henceforth operating under the name of Moonen Shipyard.

Moonen Yachts prides itself on delivering unparalleled quality, offering entirely bespoke, world-cruising, go-anywhere superyachts to its discerning clients. Over the years, the accomplished firm has produced multiple series and custom yachts, including explorer and displacement yachts, some garnering international awards.

Currently, Moonen Yachts operates from their headquarters located in 's-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands. IMPETUOUS for sale

Built in 2002 to a design by Rene van der Velden, this yacht is the eighth in Moonen's popular, four stateroom 84 series. She completed a major refit in 2023.

Works included full repaint of the superstructure, installation of Zero Speed stabilizers, one metre swim platform extension, teak deck repairs, new galley appliances and much more. IMPETUOUS has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, and accommodates eight guests in a master suite and three further staterooms, all with ensuite bathrooms.
