ZOMBIE HAYRIDE & HAUNTED HOUSE

The Zombie Hayride & Haunted House are Black Ops’ largest attractions and one of the best in NC. We have been putting on this production for four years now and we make sure to improve it every time.  Here’s what you should expect/need to know:

Zombie Paintball Hayride Need to Know 

• There is no age limit for this ride. As long as a child can operate the paintball marker they can ride.
• You(the rider) are not getting shot. For this experience, you get to have all the fun and paintball mask is not needed.
• We provide ALL the equipment for you. No outside paintball marker or paintballs are allowed
• There will be some flashing lights and pyrotechnics
• You can purchase as many extra paintballs as you want. We recommend at least 2 extra bottles per person.
• Fast pass tickets are ONLY available for online ticket purchasers and cannot be purchased in person.
• During peak season especially the last weekend of October there can be wait times of up to 90 minutes.
• We will have food and drinks for sale on site.
• Cussing, foul language, drunkenness, or drug use will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave with NO REFUND.

Haunted House Need to Know 

• Not recommended for children under 12 years old. If a child is under 12 they MUST be accompanied by a parent the entire time.
• Once you are in then you must complete the experience
• There will definitely be flashing lights, tight spaces and more. If you have medical conditions triggered by these situations we do not recommend this experience for you.
• Any rough housing, bad treatment, or harassment of the actors will not be tolerated and you will asked to leave immediately and receive no refund.

Short hayrides are often part of the annual pumpkin-picking experience, but you can also find places that offer longer rides through some of St. Louis' top parks. (Bonfires are included in most of these rides, but you'll need to pack your own s'mores or hotdogs.) Some of the hayrides sell out quickly—a few venues could not be included in this list because they sold out weeks ago—so be sure to call in advance to make reservations.

  St. Louis County Hayrides

St. Louis County Parks & Recreation offers October hayrides through several area parks. Learn about local military history during a daytime ride through Fort Belle Fontaine, or enjoy the crisp fall air and a bonfire at Greensfelder and JB Park.  Living History at Fort Belle Fontaine is October 15 at 10 a.m. and costs $7 a person. The Greensfelder and JB Park hayrides are October 22, with sessions starting at 4 p.m., and costs $10 a person. For reservations or more information, visit the  St. Louis County Parks & Recreation website . 

Eckert's Millstadt Farm

Eckert's offers family-friendly haunted hayrides at its Millstadt farm every Friday and Saturday night in October. Ride a wagon through the orchards after dark with a "ghoulish" surprise. Are your youngsters scared of the dark? Check out the Sunday afternoon rides. The hayrides are included with admission.  For more information, visit Eckert's Millstadt Farm 's website .

Forest Park Group Rides

Gather family and friends for a 45-minute ride through Forest Park. Afterward, huddle around a bonfire for up to an hour. (Remember to bring hot dogs and marshmallows.) Wagons fit up to 20 people and cost $120—or $6 per person if at full capacity. Rides take place from 7–8:20 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings and run through November 19. Group Hayrides at Broemmelsiek Park

Broemmelsiek Park, located near Defiance, in St. Charles County, offers 45-minute tractor-pulled hayrides through tree-lined fields. Afterward, roast your own treats over a campfire. Wagons are $125 each and seat up to 20 people. Rides typically take place through November 13, weather permitting. Call 636-949-7535 to RSVP. Zombie Paintball Hayride

Not for the faint of heart, Xtreme Paintball Park in Millstadt offers haunted hayrides through a zombie-infested park. Each participant will be armed with a paintball gun to fend off the undead. After the hayride, shoot your way through a haunted trail. (The zombies do not fire back, but you'll only want to take brave tweens and teens on this super-spooky Halloween hayride.) Rides take place Fridays and Saturdays in October and cost $19 per person. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

No, guests can come at anytime throughout the evening to enjoy the haunted attractions. Please check in at the Ticket booth upon arrival at Blake’s Big Apple.

Tickets for all haunted attractions can be used any Friday, Saturday or Sunday during the 2023 haunted season. 

We encourage groups to enter the line together and let our line attendants know how many are in your group upon reaching the front of the line. 

We will do our best to get your entire group on the same wagon together. 

Yes, customer will need to check in at the Ticket Booth upon arrival Guests will then enter the line for each attraction. Approximate wait times are listed above.

No, all ticket sales are final. If you are unable to attend we encourage you to visit on another date as tickets are valid for the entire 2023 haunted season. 

The zombie paintball safari ride is roughly 15-20 minutes long. 

The haunted hayride is approximately 20-25 minutes long and includes a quick stop for a cup of cider and donut.

We only offer private rides for the zombie paintball safari. Guests can reserve the entire paintball truck by calling Blake’s Big Apple at (586)784-9710.

It depends on the severity of the weather. We recommend calling the Big Apple prior to heading out to double check on cancelations.  In the case of inclement weather, tickets can be used on any Friday, Saturday or Sunday during the 2021 Haunted Season. 

It is up to parent’s discretion and the child’s scare tolerance but we recommend ages 6+ for the zombie paintball, 8+ for the haunted hayride & 3-story haunted barn.

Haunted Paintball Park at Xtreme Paintball Park is St. Louis’s ORIGINAL haunted paintball hayride!

When your number is up, you will join 20-30 other victims as you grab a paintball gun and jump on the Haunted Paintball Hayride. This is the moment you’ve been waiting for… been training for; now is the time to defend yourself against LIVE (dead?) zombies, ghouls, and various other dreadful monsters (without retaliation!) Once the ride is over, you still must make it down the Haunted Trail, where you will encounter all the creatures you thought existed only in your nightmares.

Victims of all ages are invited to join the haunted paintball fun.

ALL PARTICIPANTS, REGARDLESS OF AGE, MUST HAVE A COMPLETED & SIGNED WAIVER TO PARTICIPATE. ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18 MUST HAVE THEIR WAIVER SIGNED BY THEIR PARENT/GUARDIAN. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Looking for haunted houses, trails and frightfully fun adventures this October? If Halloween to you means spooky and scary, read on.

Raleigh NC haunted houses and trails

This haunted forest features five attractions: The Haunted Forest (12 eerie scenes over 0.5 miles), the Dark Trail Swamp, "Killers in the Corn" corn maze, the Howling Hayride "Hunt," Stalkers Farm and the Carny Crypt show. Tickets start at $30.

No one under 8 is permitted, and kids 8 to 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Come wander through the Field of Lost Souls and Rebellion Trail, The Gore House and Big Top Terror. Admission is $25 cash or $27 with credit card. Gates open at 7:30 p.m., with attractions beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets will be sold until 10 p.m.

Hop on board the Haunted Trolley, if you dare, for a special late night tour of downtown Raleigh's most haunted places.

Scary haunted attractions, including haunted houses, hayride and a spinning vortex (not haunted, but a terrifying experience).

General admission is $20 on-site at time of event. Ticket includes a coupon for a free ceramic wash, free treats and candy and the haunted wash. Members of the car wash get in for free.

The haunted walking trail is over a mile long taking you through scenes such as the Witch Doctor's Emporium, Insane Asylum, Clown Town, The Slaughterhouse, The Bundie Hotel, The S. S. Sea Hag, the Rottenkor Cemetery and many more.

Drive through a giant movie screen and watch your favorite horror movie monsters come to life in their natural habitat in cinema's most famous scenes. Cost is $20 for a car with two passengers.
