It's time for round 2 of The Providence Journal's fish and chip bracket.
For those who weren't here for round one, a quick recap. In honor of March Madness , we're doing our own bracket to determine the best fish and chips in the state. What can we say? We're a state that loves seafood.
We started by asking our followers on Instagram their favorite fish and chip places and then narrowed it down to the top 16 to kick off the bracket last week. With one round of voting behind us, we're down to eight.
Without further ado, here's the second round of voting. Voting will close on Sunday at 11 p.m.
Dune Brothers vs. Ye Old Fish and Chips
It's a relative newcomer versus a restaurant that has been at it for a very long time. Dune Brothers, 239 Dyer St., Providence, offers three types of fish and chips at their seasonal seafood shack that promotes pier-to-plate dining. Ye Olde English Fish & Chips, 25 S. Main St., Woonsocket, has been at it 100 years for a reason . Everyone loves these fish and chips.
Amaral's Fish and Chips vs. George's of Galilee

My initial visit to the fish & chip spot was a tasty journey with yummy fish and chips. But, truth be told, the place could use a good makeover and deep clean. When I walked in, I noticed dusty vents, taped-up fixes, dirty stacked high chairs by the bathrooms, etc. Despite the visual stuff, my taste buds were happy.
