Everything was above expectation. The hotel is beautiful, room very nice and fancy and most importantly the service is just perfect. They will do the maximum to let you feel at home and provide you with anunique experience. Hotel is expensive so its very nice to have so many complimantary things such as beach bag, non alcoholic drinks in the room, etc. Will definately be back

How guest reviews work

Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.

You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.

We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.

Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

  • Politically sensitive comments
  • Promotional content
  • Illegal activities
  • Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
  • Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
  • Spam and fake content
  • Animal cruelty
  • Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
  • Any violation of our review guidelines.

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Guidelines and standards for Reviews

These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.

Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.

All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Rates can vary widely by room type and season. "We Paid" is intended to give a general sense of price, but you might find considerably different rates for your trip.

When we book, we aim for the optimum season for the destination, but we avoid holidays and major public events, when prices are highest. We generally book a room at one category up from the most basic.

We take advantage of promotional rates, when possible. That means the rate you see above might have included other benefits, such as spa or meal credits.

Bulgari Resort and Residences Dubai

Here, Bulgari Resort and Residences Dubai stands like a gem with Arabescato marble walls that glisten from under the shadows of a coral-patterned brise-soleil, welcoming you to live out your beachfront Italian getaway fantasies even as you enjoy spectacular views of the Arabian Gulf.

The resort offers 101 sumptuous accommodations, as well as 20 villas ideal for families and groups. Within the complex are The Bulgari Spa, a fitness center, an exclusive beach club, Bulgari’s first Marina and Yacht Club and six residential buildings with sea-facing apartments and private mansions.

The Dubai hotel’s five world-class dining venues serve fine international cuisine generously topped with legendary Italian hospitality.

  • As expected of the Bulgari brand, the attention to detail in the architectural design — the work of renowned Italian firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel — is a highlight. The use of premium materials, such as Italian onyx, travertine marble, gray Vicenza stone and Shanxi black granite, is prevalent, their incorporation inspired by the resort’s Middle Eastern surroundings.
  • The property’s location on Jumeirah Bay is befitting of a serene Italian hideaway with plenty of solitude for those who seek it, yet is close enough to reach Dubai’s tourist spots, shopping, dining and nightlife in less than 30 minutes.
  • Unwind with therapeutic facial and body treatments at the sanctuary-like Bulgari Spa. Arrive early to use wet facilities such as the hammam, steam, sauna, ice fountains and vitality pools, or relax in the indoor swimming pool, which provides breathtaking sea views through floor-to-ceiling windows.
  • For the ultimate luxury escape, book the lavish 5,800-square-foot Bulgari Villa, which features a private beach, a fully equipped bar, a home cinema with a 65-inch screen and a spacious garden terrace with a large oval pool surrounded by cabanas and Arabian-inspired water features.
  • At the nautical-themed Bulgari Yacht Club, sample Mediterranean-inspired seafood specialties at the Italian restaurant and take in spectacular marina vistas as you relax in the sophisticated members lounge or at the outdoor pool and bar. The family-friendly venue also has the Little Gems club for children.
  • The Dubai hotel is ideal for those who seek complete privacy with the option of in-room check-in. A personal butler is available 24 hours a day for suite guests.
  • Interested shoppers can request in-room jewelry viewing and sales or visit the Bulgari boutique onsite.
  • Gym buffs will appreciate the Workshop Gymnasium offering at the resort’s fitness center. This personal training program pairs you with a pro who will work with you to customize and build the most effective workout for your body, combining weight training, yoga, Pilates and more.
  • Each of the resort’s spacious rooms and suites comes with a terrace overlooking the Arabian Gulf, a private sandy beachfront or the city’s glittering skyline. Rooms are bright and bathed in natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows.
  • Each accommodation was designed to feel like a contemporary and comfortable home-away-from-home with careful thought put into each element, including Moroccan wool rugs from the Atlas Mountains, Bulgari lamps to the tastefully crafted trunk-style minibars.
  • The large bathrooms have marble tubs (some overlooking the ocean), separate showers and are stocked with an exclusive line of Bulgari amenities.
  • The spacious suites offer extra perks, including private ocean-view terraces, a Bulgari library, state-of-the-art Devialet speakers, gym weights and yoga mats.
  • Enjoy all-day breakfast, hearty Italian fare and Middle Eastern favorites at Il Café. Whether you choose to sit on the outdoor deck overlooking the marina or in the brightly lit indoor space, this casual spot promises a leisurely dining experience.
  • Sample fine Italian cuisine at Il Ristorante - Niko Romito, an eponymous concept restaurant by the heralded chef offering awe-inspiring vistas of the Bulgari Marina. The focus is on authentic and simple Italian fare prepared with quality ingredients. Try specialties like antipasto all’Italiana and veal Milanese or opt for the set or sharing menus.
  • Beachfront restaurant La Spiaggia serves light and healthy international meals and drinks by day and transforms into a romantic candlelit venue that also has shisha in the evening.
  • Experience Italy’s famous aperitivo hour and sip on cocktails at the chic oval-shaped Il Bar, a staple at Bulgari properties worldwide.
  • Take afternoon tea and indulge your sweet tooth with Italian pastries as you browse through carefully curated coffee table books at the trendy Lobby Lounge in the luxury hotel.

BULGARI YACHT CLUB: ANOTHER WORLD

dubai bulgari yacht club

Standing on the Bulgari Marina and Yacht Club terrace, the overwhelming feeling is of being somewhere far away from Dubai.

dubai bulgari yacht club

Up here, looking out over the 50-berth marina, there are no tourists milling about; no taxis tooting for business and none of that draining/droning city noise, just peace, quiet and whatever drink you’ve ordered from the bar.

In fact, the only giveaway as to where you are is the iconic Business Bay skyline, with the centre-stage Burj Khalifa making for a very Instagram-friendly vista. Sipping on a juice while enjoying the view, you feel part of a very exclusive club and that’s no surprise, as Bulgari has put considerable effort into the yacht club – after all, it’s the only one on the planet.

dubai bulgari yacht club

Bulgari Resort Dubai

Before we head to the yacht club, Marina Director Oliver Rees and Bulgari’s Katrina Poore take us for a tour of the exclusive resort. With prices for the main villa coming in at around AED 100,000, per night, film, rock and rap stars have all stayed here, with the location on the seahorse-shaped Jumeira Bay, guaranteeing privacy. Top class dining is all part of the experience, with Michelin-starred chef, Niko Romito, serving up modern and classical Italian concepts exclusively for Il Ristorante by Niko Romito. Chef Masahiro Sugiyama takes his nine guests on a one-of-a-kind sushi journey at Hōseki, with the hotel’s spa and fitness teams on standby to help you work it all off. As with all the Bulgari hotels, the Bulgari Resort Dubai was designed by the renowned Italian architectural firm of Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel. Regular visitors to the Milan, London, Bali, Beijing and Shanghai hotels will feel immediately at home, with the Mediterranean feel combined with the ‘Made in Italy’ quality – a look and feel reproduced here in the Yacht Club.

dubai bulgari yacht club

Bulgari’s first ever Yacht Club understandably makes the most of its Italian heritage, with the surroundings best described as Riva-like. As soon as you step inside, you’re greeted not only by the attentive staff (who are dressed in vintage naval-inspired uniforms), but a classical nautical theme, highlighted by the acres of wood cladding. Here, all your senses are engaged, even your nose, as Bulgari’s signature fragrance is piped in to the hallways, creating a fruity aroma and adding to the fresh experience. Stepping out of the lift and into the club itself, the nautical theme continues, with prints of celebrities living la dolce vita, lining the walls.

The restaurant, open for lunch and dinner, serves Italian seafood including Maltagliati with red mullet ragout and grilled Maine lobster. It’s not often we mention a location’s tableware, but the Richard Ginori-designed china in the restaurant is particularly pleasant in its white and blue colourway with gold detailing. Aft of the restaurant is the exclusive Members’ Lounge. Here, club members can sit back in cream-leather seats and enjoy the exclusive surroundings, which include an extensive library. A teak floor adds to the Riva feel, with a private meeting room overlooking the Gulf.

dubai bulgari yacht club

Yacht Club Pool Area

AREA Also with a Gulf view is the yacht club pool area. This family-friendly space is open from 9am to 7pm and with only a select amount of cabanas for hire, its guaranteed to be peaceful. As Mom and Pops relax by the pool and enjoy the extensive bar menu, the children can make the most of The Little Gems Kids’ Club and kids’ pool.

dubai bulgari yacht club

At the heart of the Bulgari Resort Dubai is the marina. Here, the 50 berth harbour continues the Mediterranean feel with a travertine promenade that connects the hotel to the Yacht Club. Lit by custom designed street lamps at dusk, it makes the most of the resort’s chilled atmosphere, creating a sense of relaxation as the water laps upon the boat hulls. Currently, the pontoons are set up for a range of LOAs from 10-metre to 40-metre, however, as Dubai’s yacht owners are steadily buying larger vessels, the pontoons may well be extended to accommodate longer yachts.

Superyachts can anchor in the bay, as can any boat owner, as Bulgari, despite its exclusivity, wants to encourage local boat owners to actually use their craft. “We also have free berthing for visitors,” comments Oliver. “So boat owners can come here for dinner and enjoy the facilities before heading home.” For some lucky boat owners though, home is just a footstep away, as The Residences, which include 173 sea-facing apartments in six buildings and 15 mansions, surround the marina.

dubai bulgari yacht club

The brand has been around since Sotirio Bulgari opened his first jewellers in Rome back in 1884. It’s a name synonymous with style, exclusivity and quality, with the marina and yacht club capturing the essence of the brand perfectly.

From the moment you enter the lobby you’re taken back to the golden age of boating, with all your senses stimulated. The restaurant is particularly impressive, especially so at night, when the marina is lit up and the Burj Khalifa can be seen in the background.

It may not be the cheapest marina to berth your motor yacht in, but as the old saying goes, “You get what you pay for.”

Bulgari Resort Dubai review: where luxury fashion meets hospitality

Stay for the Italian design and Michelin-starred restaurants – but try to leave with the mini-bar…

Bulgari Resort Dubai has a beachfront location at Jumeirah Bay island

When you see the slogan “Made in Italy”, it’s often associated with legendary designers, beautiful sports cars and, of course, fabulous food. Italians are well known for their luxurious exports – but none more so than their fashion.

One brand that was born in Italy but has since become a global name is Bulgari. And, after making its name in the realm of luxury goods, the centuries-old company is now a player in the world of hospitality.

Jumeirah Zabeel Saray review: live like a sultan on Dubai’s glitzy Palm Jumeirah Beach Hotel: a room with Dubai’s best view

Bulgari Hotels & Resorts boasts a portfolio of swish hotels in some of the world’s most fashionable destinations, including Milan, London, Bali, Shanghai and Paris. Soon-to-open properties include Rome, Tokyo, Miami Beach and Los Angeles.

In December 2017, Dubai was added to Bulgari’s hospitality offering. Located at Jumeirah Bay, a manmade seahorse-shaped island connected by a bridge to the mainland, Bulgari Resort Dubai is a huge property which features a hotel, residences, private villas, a beach club and the brand’s first ever marina and yacht club.

I spent a night there to assess whether Italian luxury could really be found on the coast of the Emirates…

Why stay here

The hotel’s pride in being “Made in Italy” was obvious to me almost as soon as I arrived at the Bulgari Resort Dubai . The majority of the staff members I spoke to were Italian; here, you are as likely to be welcomed with a “ciao” as you are a “merhaba” or a “hello”.

The real Italian luxury, however, can be found in the interior design and furnishings of the resort’s buildings, which are comprised of 101 hotel rooms and suites, and 20 villas. Designed by Italian architectural firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel , the resort and residences occupy 123,000 square metres of the island.

My deluxe beach view room was full of branded Bulgari products and designer furniture which replicate an upmarket Italian hotel. The bed and bedding was ultra-comfy and the bathroom, which featured a freestanding tub and rainforest-style shower, had plenty of toiletries and accessories.

Furnishings included stylish lighting, designer tables, fashion-themed books, a sofa, yoga mat, artworks and a contemporary desk with a workspace. Outside, the private balcony had a decent sitting area with views of the Arabian Gulf, beach and pool.

One big highlight of the room was the Bulgari mini-bar. This custom-designed leather trunk, which contained a fridge full of Italian food and drink, was the ultimate piece of designer furniture. Due to its size and weight I was unable to sneak it into my suitcase on check-out, which was a real pity...

For a bit of Italian R&R, the resort also has a beach club with pools, a bar, a kids’ club and private cabanas, while the Bulgari Spa features an indoor pool, vitality pool, treatment rooms and hammam.

Should you wish to purchase some Bulgari jewellery or luxury products, then there’s also a number of boutique stores located inside the hotel.

Eating and drinking

In July this year, the Michelin Guide announced Dubai’s first ever Michelin-starred restaurants. Two were awarded two stars, nine were awarded one star and 14 were awarded a Bib Gourmand.

Of the 11 restaurants in Dubai given Michelin stars, two can be found at the Bulgari Resort. The two-star Il Ristorante-Niko Romito was described by the Guide as an “uber-cool, stylish and understated” Italian restaurant. One-star Japanese restaurant Hōseki , located on the fourth floor of the hotel, has just nine seats and was described as a “little gem”.

As well as the Michelin-starred options, the Bulgari Resort is home to many restaurants and bars. Il Caffé is where in-house guests can enjoy a superb breakfast (definitely go for the smoked salmon and avo on toast) and it also serves Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes throughout the day.

Outside near the beach and pool, you’ll find La Spiaggia, a restaurant serving antipasti, pasta, pizza, grilled items, sandwiches and desserts. And over at the marina, the Yacht Club Restaurant specialises in fish and Italian dishes.

Afternoon tea can be enjoyed at the Bulgari Lounge, while the Bulgari Bar – located in the same space as Il Ristorante-Niko Romito – is perfect for a pre-dinner aperitif, sundowner cocktail or light bite.

Out and about

Just a 25-minute drive from Dubai International Airport, the Bulgari Resort’s central location in the Jumeirah 2 area of the city puts it within easy reach of the Creek, Downtown Dubai, Burj Khalifa, Business Bay, Jumeirah Beach and Kite Beach.

While Italy boasts heritage and history spanning thousands of years, Dubai, a “new city”, often gets accused of “having no culture”. That is simply wrong, because you only need to head down to the Creek to find the old town and historical museums to wander around. At the Creek you will also find the gold, spice, perfume and textile souks (markets), which are definitely worth a day exploring.

Shoppers can also get their fashion fix at Dubai Mall or Mall of the Emirates, while golfers can tee off at some of the world’s top courses, including Emirates Golf Club, Jumeirah Golf Estates and Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club.

Bulgari Resort Dubai, Jumeirah Bay Island, Jumeirah 2, Dubai, UAE. During the winter months, rooms start from AED 6,500 (£1,571) per night and villas start from AED 29,500 (£7,132) per night; bulgarihotels.com

Bulgari luxury resort in Dubai to include marina and yacht club

You can wear a Bulgari watch, stay at a Bulgari hotel and now a berth your yacht at Bulgari marina and yacht club. This will be the fifth Bulgari Hotel and Resorts property. The luxury brand has already lent its name hotels in Milan, Bali and London – not to mention restaurants in Tokyo and Osaka. The Dubai property is set to open in 2017. Bulgari is not done expanding its reach, however, as properties are also planned for Shanghai and Beijing with 2017 opening dates slated.

Design of the luxury property comes from Italian architects Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners. The Dubai Bulgari Resort and Residences with stretch over 157,935 square metres, covering a quarter of Jumeirah Bay Island. It will feature a 101-room Ritz-Carlton hotel, that will operate under the Bulgari name, with 20 beachside villas.

Opulent residences will comprise 165 apartments, eight penthouses and 15 private mansions. The property will also have all the expected amenities of a luxury resort, with full details to be revealed.
