Join us for a cruise aboard "Zingara", a 38' classic Morgan sailing yacht. There's plenty of room for your group topsides and a large cabin, refrigeration and private facilities below.  Sit back and enjoy the egrets and dolphins, or take the helm under Captain Steve's supervision. Either way, you'll enjoy the infinite views of Savannah's salt marshes and the Atlantic ocean. We are located about half way  between Savannah and Tybee Island, just a few miles from Wassaw sound and the ocean. Our charters are personal and private for your group, family or clients. We'll share our refrigerator, but most guests like to bring their own cooler and picnic basket with any special preferences. Contact us for special arrangements.   912-441-3265

The SV Zingara

Zingara exemplifies Morgan's reputation of building strong and comfortable yachts. Weighing 9 tons, she is a Morgan 384 designed by naval architect Ted Brewer. This 38 footer is a handsome boat in an understated way and still has a contemporary look. The sheer-line is relatively subtle, the bow rake is straight with a moderate overhang, and the counter stern has a slightly reversed transom. The beautiful, traditional lines of her hull do not compromise speed or pointing ability. Try a sail on one of Morgan's best designs.     912-441-3265

Captain Steve Horton

A sailor for over 45 years, Steve worked as a seasonal sailing instructor and delivery captain as time allowed during his tenure as a high school teacher and administrator. He has been a USCG licensed captain (100 Ton Master) and sailing instructor since 1983 and has also been certified by US Sailing. Steve has logged thousands of miles completing private yacht deliveries between the Caribbean and the U.S. east coast. He bought "Zingara",  a classic Morgan 384 in 2006 and opened Compass Sailing, LLC in 2008 which provides day charters in the Savannah, Ga. area. At night, you can catch him playing rhythm guitar with the Cicada Brothers in some of the local watering holes.  912-441-3265

Your trip will be aboard the good ship Kestrel, a 30’ Catalina 30, which has earned its place as one of the most popular yachts in America. She glides through the water effortlessly in the salty air, making a great sail for a first-timer or old salt alike. We invite you to hop aboard, sit back, and relax as we show you the best of Savannah while sharing tales of the waters that surround it.

Our starting rate includes a 2-hour sail for up to 6 guests. Prices may vary depending on the date and time. You can find the exact price for your trip by clicking the book button to view our real-time calendar.

What a great way to enjoy the May River! The boat was well stocked with essentials for being out on the water with the whole family. The host has local knowledge of the area and pointed us to a nearby sandbar that the kids loved! The host was timely and checked in occasionally throughout the day to make sure we had no issues or questions. I will definitely renting from Richard again!

Steven was great to work with, very punctual. Was flexible with some last minute changes to itinerary. Boat was fantastic, but it is a little smaller than it looks in the photos. Still accommodated 11 adults and captain comfortably.

We had a great time on the pontoon! We drove around the channels and saw tons of dolphins. The boat was well equipped and ran super quiet. Easy to drive and Richard made the pick up and drop off process super easy.

Neil is the BEST!! We had a group of 14 people and it was the most fun day. He is very knowledgeable of the area and allowed us to make our own plan. We had a great day on his boat and can’t wait to go back!
