We are excited to welcome the new 'Spirit of Aloha' Catamaran to Waikiki! The new vessel will replace Port Waikiki Cruises' older catamaran currently in operation and will be one of the largest sailing catamarans on the island with room for up to 80 passengers. Port Waikiki Cruises will continue to offer its popular sailing excursions aboard the upgraded vessel, including snorkel adventures and Friday night fireworks dinner cruises.

Explore the Waikiki coastline aboard The Spirit of Aloha, a modern 65-foot catamaran. Its captain and crew members are available to answer questions about the ocean, navigation, sea life and marine conservation. Whales and green sea turtles are some of the creatures that can be seen on any given tour. Passengers also enjoy unobstructed views of Waikiki Beach with a backdrop of the Ko`olau mountains, and in the evenings the twinkling Honolulu skyline. The custom-designed sunset-orange and maile lei sail is a stunning contrast to the azure Pacific as it sails along the Waikiki coastline.

Amenities include a full bar with draft beer, a large fully-enclosed and covered cabin with table and bench seating, two full restrooms, freshwater shower, surround-sound system and multiple stairway entry points for snorkelers entering the water. Ample outdoor areas for sunning are also available before and after the vessel.

It was our very first time snorkeling and the crew were super informative and accommodating. We were able to see a pod of bottle nose dolphins playing with a family of humpback whales on the cruise to the snorkel spot. We saw so many different beautiful fish and managed to see a turtle! Captain Brian and deck hand Jewel provided an incredible afternoon, going to their favorite places for us, with known whale sightings and dolphin encounters. Jewel was a wealth of information about both the whales and the dolphins. While Brian with his trusty sonar found whales who just happened to be in a very entertaining mood, doing tail flaps, full body breaches out of the water, with twists and turns! It was amazing to watch. As an added attraction, we came across a school of dolphins swimming alongside the boat, getting so close we could almost touch them. While Captain Brian entertained us on board with stories of past incredible whale encounters, Jewel jumped in the water and said the could actually hear the whales! How cool is this? This was a great experience. This sail is very calm and relaxing and a completely different experience from the trade wind sails, where you expect to get tossed around and get wet. This is the best deal in Waikiki. Was there for a week and went on this cruise three times. ~$30 for one hour sail with open bar. So, you can sit in a hotel bar and nurse one drink or be on the ocean enjoying amazing views, listen to lively music and chug down multiple drinks. No brainer. Shout out to Dustin for the amazing sailing experience.

This was a total blast! The guys running the boat were friendly and entertaining. The sites were phenomenal. The sea life is gorgeous. And the drinks were very good. I booked a second trip, can’t wait to sale again!

CANCELLATION POLICY

Guests will receive a full refund only with a minimum 24-hour notice of cancellation. Full refunds are also issued in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

During the slower seasons and typically the morning sails, tour cancellations can occur due to a minimum requirement of 6 booked guests. In these rare situations, guests are always given the option to rebook or refund. If you are concerned about your tour, please call with any questions.

Guests wishing to rebook or reschedule must give 24 hours notice. Contact us by phone directly to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-shows and guests canceling within 24 hours of departure will be charged full price .*Groups of 20 or larger are required to give 72-hour notice to cancel or modify bookings.

The Holokai is a beautiful, custom-designed, handcrafted 49 passenger beach catamaran. She was commissioned and splashed in 2015. Holokai is equipped with spacious seating, netted splash area, Bluetooth sound system and a clean and comfortable bathroom. Our professional, fun and accommodating captains and crew are on hand to provide 5-star service and the most memorable experience on the waters of Waikiki!

We have a bar on board with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Beverage options include: juice, water, soda; Bud Light; Corona; a variety of premium craft beers from Maui Brewing Company; a pinot grigio wine; a champagne; assorted hard seltzers; and our house cocktail the famous “Holokai Hooch” consisting of: passion orange guava juice, peach schnapps, and dark Hawaiian rum- a favorite with all our guests!Please keep in mind that all liquor laws apply to our vessel and outside alcohol is prohibited from being brought onboard. Awesome experience.

We had a great time at the turtle canyon morning snorkel tour. The crew was super friendly and helpful and it was very safe, even you had never snorkeled before you could enjoy this. We saw half a dozen different turtles, surfacing and all. Awesome experience.

In this article, we check out Port Waikiki Hilton Cruises for the Hilton Fireworks Sail, a two-hour cruise (6:00pm-8:00pm) departing from the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki. We'll take you along with us as we explore the sunset, appetizers, drinks, and of course, the fireworks show.

This sunset and fireworks sail is a great way to spend a FRIDAY night in Waikiki.

Check-in Process

The check-in process was easy. The boat is located right by the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki, making it easily accessible if you're staying in Waikiki. This catamaran is a docked catamaran, meaning that you don't have to walk into the water to get on the boat (as you would with a beach catamaran). After a quick safety briefing, we were free to move around the boat.

Menu: Appetizers and Drinks

We headed to the boat to pick up our appetizers and drinks. The appetizers were super tasty and just the right amount of food for a light snack.

NOTE: The tour description explains this cruise as a dinner cruise. However, compared to other dinner cruises and due to portion sizes, we looked at this more as sail with appetizers rather than a full dinner – in our humble opinion.

Dinner Menu:  Deep-fried mahi mahi fish katsu with soy ginger aioli, Teriyaki chicken, Shoyu hot dog, and Steamed rice

Vegan & GF MealVeg:  Fire torched miso-glazed tofu with vegetables (advance notice is required)

Drinks:  Unlimited non-alcoholic beverages and two alcoholic drinks are included. A full bar is available and beers are $1.00, and wine and cocktails are $2.00

We sailed past Diamond Head Crater and along the skyline. It was absolutely stunning to watch the sunset from the water. The nets were a perfect area to hang out or have a few cocktails.

At 8:00pm, the fireworks show began. It was a short show that lasted about five minutes, but it was absolutely amazing to watch the fireworks from the water.

In the winter season, the Hilton Fireworks start a bit earlier at 7:45pm.

If you're looking for a relaxing evening in Waikiki, the Hilton Fireworks Sail is an excellent way to spend a Friday night.

Where do i meet for the sail.

Check-in at the Port Waikiki kiosk near the beach walkway to the Hilton Hawaiian Village Pier, at the Diamond Head end of the Tropics Bar & Grill. You should arrive 30-45 minutes prior to your selected cruise time to allow plenty of time to find parking. Please call the phone number on your E-ticket at least 24 hours prior to the tour to confirm the check-in details.

How long is the Spirit Adventure Sail tour?

Tour is 1 hour long.

When should I arrive for the sail?

Check-in time is 20 minutes prior to departure at the beachfront Port Waikiki kiosk. Please arrive at this time to check-in.

What is included in the tour?

The Dolphin Snorkel Sail includes: - A 1-hour roundtrip sailing cruise - Captain and crew - Flotation devices, swim vests and fins - Onboard bar snacks and unlimited sodas and juice. Additional bar beverages available for purchase on board.

Do I need a ticket for my child?

Children ages 0 to 3 are free. Ages 4+ must have a ticket to board.

What do I bring?

Bring a towel, sunscreen, anti-nausea medication, cash and snorkeling gear. Buy or bring your snorkel and mask, or sanitized re-usable sets are available as a backup. Guests may not bring their own food or beverage aboard, except for infants & toddlers. No alcohol may be brought aboard.

Can I be picked up from my Waikiki area hotel?

No. Transportation is not provided. However, validated garage parking is available and good for 4 hours.

Are there any COVID-19 safety precautions in place?

To help keep you and their staff healthy, and maintain Hawaii as the safest U.S. state for visitors and locals alike, Hawaii Nautical adheres to every possible precaution against the transmission of COVID-19, including: - All guests must submit a health-screening form prior to boarding. Slip off your slippers and enjoy watching the Hawaiian sunset while sailing along the iconic Waikiki coastline on our Gold coast 65ft catamaran, the ‘Spirit of Aloha II’! We set sail at 5:30pm everyday of the week except Fridays. We cruise East along Hawaii’s magnificent Waikiki coastline. To the West is the setting sun and to the shore the night lights of Waikiki light up the coastline. Our cocktail cruise sails every night except Fridays when we offer a Dinner & Firework Cruise.

Join us on our 65ft Gold Coast catamaran for a Hawaiian Sunset Cocktail Cruise. The ‘Spirit of Aloha II’ is a laid back barefoot cruise which sets sail from the Hilton Hawaiian Village hotel. The Spirit of Aloha holds a maximum of 49 people, offers indoor and outdoor seating, a bar and appetizers. Bathrooms are available onboard but we advise you use the restroom before boarding. Self parking is validated in the Hilton Hawaiian Village parking garage for the “Spirit of Aloha”. Please bring your parking ticket with you to check in. (We do not validate valet parking)

The ‘Spirit of Aloha II’ Cocktail Sunset Cruise include an array of “pupus” or finger appetizers for snacking. Italian meatballs with marinara sauce, honey-barbeque chicken wings, vegetable platters and assorted sides. There are unlimited non-alcoholic beverages available and each adult receives 2 free bar drinks. Additional beers are just $1.00 and mixers $2.00.

Spirit of Aloha – Waikiki Catamaran

The catamaran offers the perfect setting to enjoy a refreshing drink with friends while taking in the beautiful sights of Waikiki. This Coastguard-certified catamaran is 65-feet long and 24-feet wide and able to accommodate 80 passengers. Equipped with two 50-horsepower engines, a sound system, luxury mid-deck seating, bar, restroom, and captain and crew. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available throughout the sail, so make sure to bring your thirstiest friends! Our Day Sail is the best way to explore Waikiki paradise. Soak in the sun, sip some Mai Tais, and get a feel of the island aboard our Catamaran.

Dress in bathing suits, cover-ups, or shorts. Don’t forget to bring a Towel!

Please Note: Feet & Legs WILL get wet boarding the boat. If sitting on the nets you will get wet as well.

Note: Snorkel and mask are provided for use on the tour. You will also have the option to buy gear on-board. Snorkel fins, vest, and in-water assistance from the crew are also included.

We saw turtles playing near the corals! It was a very amazing sight to see! Next time we get back to Hawaii I’d do this same tour again!

This tour would not only make you see turtles but a lot of colorful fishes and other sea animals! I’m glad I took my kids in this tour! It was educational and fun!

I highly recommend this tour! We saw turtles floating and breathing for air the moment we stopped at the Turtle Canyon! Then at the bottom, we saw turtles and a lot of reef fishes cleaning their shells! Super cool stuff to witness!

Andrea, Ali, and Sofia were absolutely amazing! My boyfriend and I had so much fun! We saw lots of sea turtles and different species of fish! The crew was so kind, and Andrea especially took excellent care of us. I would highly recommend this outting to anyone visiting the island!

Overall rating

Overall, we enjoyed the trip. Staff was great! However, the snorkel spot was crowded with lots of other groups. It felt like you were bumping into people the whole time. We saw some turtles, but there wasn't much else to ... see. Also, the parking instructions are unclear. All it said was they validate in the garage, so I parked in the obvious giant garage. But they don't validate in that one (the Hale Koa). They only validate in the Hilton Garage which is harder to find. I hope they aren't unclear on purpose...that cost an extra $39!

Captain Amy and her crew made our day! One of the highlights of our trip. We brought our very adventurous 2 and a half year old out with us to swim with turtles and the crew were amazing and supportive! Thank you l ... adies for making our day. ❤️

It was so much fun

Me and my husband had a great time. The guys are very prompt with safety and are very accomodating. We saw turtles and other sea creatures too. My husband was not very confident with snorkeling but they helped him out by ... getting acquainted with the waters and eventually he gained confidence to snorkel and he enjoyed it a lot later on to see sea life.

Although you do not need to be a strong swimmer, it is recommended that you be comfortable in the water.

Are you required to wear a life jacket?

Yes, life jackets must be worn at all times while in the water.

Will our guide help us with snorkeling if it is our first time?

Yes. If you need instructions on how to snorkel, a crew member will be happy to assist you before you enter the water.

Is there a safe place to store my belongings while on tour?

There is no locked area to store your belongings, however, there is a dry space on board where you may store them.

Are prescription snorkeling masks available?

Yes, prescription masks are available.

What kind of boat will be used?

The "Spirit of Aloha" is a 65-foot performance motor-sail catamaran. Amenities on board include a full bar, a large, completely enclosed and covered cabin area with table seating and bench seating, restrooms, and a top-notch surround sound-system.

Will we see whales?

Every year Humpback Whales migrate to the warm waters of Hawaii, and although not guaranteed, they are often seen between the months of December and April.

How much are the alcoholic beverages?

Beers are $1.00 and Wine/Cocktails are $2.00 each. Prices are subject to change.
